shopping here is so fun, there's always something new and interesting to try because there's foods from just about every country in the worldnnfree 1hr parking on the roof. staff are friendly and knowledgeable. store is clean, prices cant be beat and that works for just about everything except meat fresh meat quality is so-sonnbut really, the massive variety of global foodstuffs is why im writing this review. Jotis NoFrills could even be a vancouver tourist attraction, i dont think theres another 'big' grocery store in north america that has this diverse a selection. theres a brazillian section, Israeli, indian, phillipino, chinese, japanese, thai, mexican, eastern european, ect ect as well as your standard Canadian items
Hello, I want to file a complaint and explain what happened just now at 4:00 PM. At Not Frill, I was shopping and selecting products and I didn't realize I had dropped my $25. I was in a hurry, and when I saw someone from India gathering it up, I told them it was mine. But it seemed like they didn't believe me. I gave my money to security to check the cameras. However, that man didn't check the camera properly during the fall; he only cropped the footage when it was on the ground. He even went to the manager saying it wasn't mine, that I was lying. In the end, I told him to check carefully where someone had dropped it, and he finally saw it was mine and gave it back to me after a long wait of an hour, wasting my time. Even knowing I'm deaf, he kept talking. So I suggest that you properly train your security personnel before they start working and that you be professional when checking the cameras. Thank you.
Friday, March 6 around 10:00 PMnNo FrillsnnI had a very disappointing experience at this location. I purchased approximately $200 worth of groceries and was using reusable bags. The cashier would not even assist with tearing the paper wrapper off the bags so I could begin packing.nnThere was no one in line behind me, yet I was left to pack all of my groceries myself while the cashier stood there instead of helping. Because I needed to clear the counter to continue packing, I moved the groceries to the other side.nnWhen I removed the paper wrapper from the reusable bags, the cashier made a big issue about a small piece of trash and told me I had to throw it away. Instead of simply helping the customer and disposing of it, he escalated the situation unnecessarily.nnI asked to speak with a manager because the service was so poor. Unfortunately the manager sided with the cashier while my groceries were still sitting there unpacked. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, they threatened to call the police over something as minor as a piece of trash.nnWhen I asked for their names so I could report the incident, both employees refused to provide them. That lack of accountability was very concerning.nnThis was completely unreasonable and unprofessional. Staff at this location clearly need retraining on basic customer service and conflict handling. Threatening to involve the police over something so trivial is excessive and inappropriate.nnI hope head office becomes aware of this situation because the employees here appear disengaged. They spend time standing around talking, but when it comes to actually helping customers they seem completely disinterested.nnVery disappointing experience.
I always have a great shopping experience at No Frills on West Broadway, but what really makes a difference is the amazing staff especially Maria.nShe is incredibly kind, patient, and always willing to help with a genuine smile. Every interaction with her has been pleasant, and she truly makes customers feel welcome.nThank you to the team, and a special thanks to Maria for her outstanding customer service!
No Frills: The name’s not lying—zero glamour, all glory. A temple for budget hunters where prices dive lower than my self-esteem on Mondays. Variety? Endless. And yes, there’s even a Brazilian aisle—because nothing screams ‘immigrant survival kit’ like tapioca staring back at you. Forget Whole Foods’ yoga prices; here, you stretch your dollar, not your hamstrings.
