I purchased sugarcane juice, but unfortunately, it had an off smell and taste. I returned to the shop within 20 minutes to address the issue, but the manager insisted that there was no way the juice could be spoiled and didn’t take the time to even smell it. Instead, he conversed with the staff in their language and seemed to dismiss my concern entirely. I’m certain that if he had simply smelled the juice, he would have noticed the problem.nnWhile I understand that spoilage can occur for various reasons, I was disappointed by how my feedback was handled. I am shopping here for nearly four years and have never requested a refund or exchange until now. I chose not to argue and left the juice bottle with them, but I do hope they improve their approach to handling customer concerns in the future.
One of the larger Indian food stores on south Fraser Street and we always make a point to drop in here on our trips to this eclectic and vibrant neighbourhood! Lots of fruit and veg as well as packaged goods and foodstuffs from India and Pakistan. Extensive offering of spices, rice, frozen foods, bulk foods also. Typically busy especially on weekends! Mostly self serve as staff are always busy! Reasonable to good prices!
In morning I visited Fruticana and had a disappointing experience. While browsing, I noticed a packet of chips that had already expired Concerned, I approached the manager to inform them about the issue. To my shock, the manager not only dismissed my concern but also admitted that they change the expiry dates on packets when they receive shipments from India. I urge fraserhealth to investigate such practices as they could pose serious health risks to customers. When I questioned this practice, the manager behaved rudely and started arguing with me, saying, “Do whatever you can do.” This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, both in terms of customer service and business ethics.I urge Fruticana to address this issue seriously, ensure their products meet quality standards, and train their staff to respond to customer concerns respectfully. This behavior has made me reconsider shopping here in the future.
Good amount of Indian items available here ranging from veggies, fruits, snacks, whole grains, dairy and home essential.nWould recommend buying fruits and veggies from supermarket because at this place they may be cheap but not fresh sometimes. But great place for Frozen and packed Indian food items.
Typical Indian grocery store, with it's over crowding and somewhat unorganized shelves. That being said, it has most Desi items that you may need. The produce quality is good and prices reasonable. Staff is too busy at the counter but will help out if you plead long enough. If you live on the North shore, this is a must visit because we don't have anything like it. Parking is easier than expected behind the store and also on the adjacent street. Overall good place to find Indian items.
