What can I say? This place is amazing, and in the perfect location for walking to bars and restaurants!nnWe love shopping as well and the stores are only a short drive away.nnTip of the day...Better to drive for shopping and walk for bars when selecting a hotelnnThe room we had here was very cool. Musical artwork in the room and the furnishings just made it feel a bit ritzy if ya know what I mean. Very Very cool.nAll the folks we dealt with there are very accommodating and know what customer service is.nnIf you're headed to St John's for some shopping, restaurants and hitting up a few bars, you've found your spot.nnIf you're looking for a really nice, upscale hotel/room for a very decent price, you've found your spot.nnEnjoy your stay!
Spent 1 night there last evening.nUpon arriving, found out we couldn't park in the parking garage as you needed to be checked in to get a key card to access the garage. Once my partner went in to check in we were told the garage was full and we could park in staff parking lot across the street. That lot was full aswell. So we ended up parking at a parking garage away from the hotel and paying a extra 30 dollars to keep our car safe. So long story short, they cannot accommodate parking.nSecondly the restaurant in the hotel was very small, and full. That was our own fault for not making a reservation, so please if you plan on staying and dining, make a reservation or you will have to travel.nNow for our room. At first it didn't seem like there was anything wrong, but throughout the night we noticed our TV didn't work and the seat at the desk was ripped and peeling. Nothing major but for the price and rating of the hotel, should have been better.nLong story short, this is one of the more expensive hotels in st.johns, there are many more that have been more impressive and accommodating. I hope with the new add on they will have things fixed. Staff was alright. Didn't ask how our stay was so we didn't voice our concerns as we were already fed up and the staff at the desk seemed like they just wanted to get us out as fast as they could.
We just popped in to eat at Exile and look at the huge personal collection of music art on the walls! The food was amazing . We had the dick and tenderloin…. Savory goodness. Followed by a lemon cheesecake. The music playlist is phenomenal and pipes in from the office and cannot be tampered with.nThe attention to detail is spot on with the seating, monogrammed napkins and glasses.
We stayed here for four days. Had a wonderful time. The staff were completely amazing. The restaurant in the was amazing. No complaints at all. The room was always clean and stocked with towels. Turn down service at night. The valet parking staff were very helpful.nnI would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in St. John’s. I had a choice of where to stay and I am so happy that I picked The Jag Hotel. I want to thank everyone for going out of their way to show us the Newfoundland hospitality.
I was treated like royalty. The service was prompt and very friendly. The rooms are beautiful. The breakfast and waiter were fabulous.
