The Murray Premises Inn was exactly what we hoped for! We love a historic inn with character and charm, and the location could not have been more perfect. It's walking distance to the best shops and restaurants in St. John's as well as to Signal Hill fir the most outstanding hike you'll ever take. Check in here was seamless and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was so charming. I wouldn't change anything about it! Thank you for a great experience.
Wonderful hotel. I lived in St. John's years ago when this was a dilapidated warehouse. Now it's a gorgeous and unique boutique hotel in the heart of downtown St. John's. The courtyard has a long bar and tables to sit outside under an umbrella in the sunshine or at night listening to live music. There was a cool Old World vibe in the area with shops, restaurants and bars galore, the harbour right behind and George Street and Shamrock City all within a few minutes' walk. The Gypsy Tea Room is for sure worth a visit and try the nearby Rocket Cafe for excellent coffee, tea and treats and sandwiches. Love this place and can't wait to visit again.
Went there for our anniversary, booked a mid tier room. It was WAY better than any mid tier room, king bed, spacious lounge area, big soaker tub, separate walk-in shower, separate toilet. The ambiance was amazing, lots of the old building visible in room. Huge wooden posts/pillars, original wooden ceiling and artwork depicting the origins. Right downtown, lots of choices for sightseeing and exploring. Definitely worth a visit!
Stayed 2 nights in this downtown hotel. Room was nice enough, except for a funky sewer smell coming from the bathroom that forced us to leave the bathroom door shut. Especially weird, the bathroom featured a beautiful glass-walled shower, very nice, except for the extra glass wall between the bathroom and main room that put your showering on full display for anyone in the main room. Why you would put a glass wall there, who knows? Continental breakfast was OK. Loved the fact that it’s right downtown near the bars & restaurants.
Old historic building, rooms were average rooms but brick and wood since it was an old factory of some sort. Old rustic beams etc. Right downtown close to everything. We were very pleased with the stay. Nice courtyard to sit relax with drinks and occasional music.
