Had a fantastic three-night stay at the Alt. The rooms, though a bit compact, offered amazing views and were thoughtfully designed. The hotel's central location was perfect, providing easy access to the city core while still being tucked away from the busiest areas.nnThe customer service truly stood out, particularly from Jordan, Bailey, David, and of course Justin. They clearly take pride in offering a personalized experience and were incredibly accommodating with all my requests and any challenges that arose during my stay.nnThe restaurant also impressed me with its solid menu and professional service, offering what felt like Michelin 5-star quality food and drinks. However, I found the menu pricing to be quite excessive; for example, being blindsided with $15 for a single scoop of sorbet was ridiculous after all were not in NYC, Paris or Tokyo!nnNevertheless, I had a great stay and appreciated the hotel's incredible front desk team.
I stayed here during my birthday trip in April, and it was honestly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. All the staff members I met were so kind and helpful. I arrived without much time to plan, but the lovely ladies at the front desk gave me amazing recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. Ladies also prepared me a sweet surprise in my room.nnThe view from the room was amazing, right over the harbour, with the ocean just outside the window. The location is perfect too. It’s close to all the main attractions, and there are so many great restaurants within walking distance.nnI’m very grateful to all of the staff. Thank you for making my birthday so warm and memorable. I’ll never forget this stay and will definitely come back!
Fantastic hotel, superb position.nnLocated right in town and easy walk to everything and yet with amazing views.nnThe staff are really friendly and super professional, made you feel welcome and at home. The hotel main areas and rooms were super clean was super clean and nicely modern style decor.nnThere are so many places to eat, drink and shop right close by. Beautiful shops with with by Newfoundland atist and crafts folk. Plenty of opportunity to pickup up gifts and keepsakes.nnWe stayed two night room #422 - looking along harbor into town and #424 - looking out to sea across the harbor.nnThere is also a super food place to get breakfast and lovely areas inside and outside to sit and look at the harbor
Staying at the Alt made our trip! The staff is so kind, welcoming and attentive. Their values are clear and you will feel so welcomed. Black out blinds and lovely bath products made our already comfortable stay even cozier. It’s clear they want you to feel taken care of. The back courtyard garden is a beautiful space to hang out in. This was the view from our window.
The staff is wonderful. Always in a good mood and provided helpful information. I left items in my room and they mailed them to me in the US.nThe room was modern and attractive. Everything functioned well.nDowntown restaurants are nearby.nThe view of the harbor is pleasant. It was interesting to see the active commercial and coast guard ships.
