Amazing staff and great rooms with a view.nAll the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms have a great view of the harbour and watching the ships come and go is a sight to behold.nThe hotel is a quick walk to George street and all the cool little shops in the area. It’s a 15-20 minute drive from here to just about anywhere in the vicinity of St. John’s.nThe kitchen has great food.nThe cafe has amazing coffee/snacksnUnderground parking is easily accessible as long as you don’t have a big vehicle like a large truck and maybe some large SUVs.nI recommend purchasing the parking and food package.nHighly recommended and will definitely stay here again!
The Alt Hotel St. John's is a must if you’re visiting Newfoundland. It’s simply a magical place. From the moment you step into the hotel lobby, you’ll immediately feel a unique atmosphere where the welcome is like nowhere else.nnThe people who will greet you — whether it’s Maryna, Divine, Bailey, Jordan, Jane, David, or any of the others — are all exceptional. They’ll instantly make you feel at ease, and you’ll feel right at home, only better!nnEverything about this hotel is thoughtfully designed and perfectly executed.nnThere are many attractions to visit in St. John’s, but personally, the Alt St. John’s is so delightful that I don’t hesitate to spend an entire day there, sipping their delicious coffee while gazing at the St. John’s harbour and its endless opening to the ocean.nnYou’ll find yourself coming back again and again!
Really nice hotel with great staff. The room was compact but I appreciated the integrated automated control of the HVAC, lighting and window blinds. Only minor issue is that the water temperature from the shower was a little inconsistent. Overall, an excellent experience.
Excellent hotel, best location, great views! I stay here for work on a regular basis, never disappoints! Staff at the front desk are amazing. My only call out would be the coffee bar downstairs. Great coffee, which is another reason I stay here, but the service leaves a lot to be desired…. You feel like the staff is doing you a favour. No smiles…. Stark difference to the hotel staff.
Overall a good experience but, there is no place to stop and check-in. They only have a few spots for larger vehicles like pickup trucks. So you make up having to look for street parking. If you do have a car there is an additional parking fee. Rooms were nice but you can not turn the heat down past 18 and was not comfortable for sleeping.nnThe location was nice and close and within walking distance from attractions.
