The staff at Island GM were excellent! I was immediately greeted by Ashley who provided me with top notch service. She knows her product and answered each question I had. She went above and beyond to help me find the perfect car that was also within my budget. Very pleased!

A big thanks to Kevin in the service department. An extremely professional and knowledgeable agent who took care of me and my truck. During the service they noticed my in-cab air filter was long over due to be replaced. They changed it at no extra charge and to top it off they washed my truck. Much appreciated. Thanks again Kevin, I will be back.

I dropped in at this dealership from out of town to check their stock on trucks. I was impressed with the salesman's eagerness to sell me a vehicle. We negotiated a deal to bring in a 2017 with the color/options I wanted from a dealer in Alberta including a $1300 transfer fee and 2.49% financing doc and taxes. The next day the salesman told me they had to charge me $1900 to transfer the vehicle not the $1300 we had agreed to. When I questioned this as an unreasonable amount, he said I was paying the cost to transport 2 vehicleS as they had to trade trucks with the other dealer! I said that was not deal we negotiated and that Island GM should eat that $600 cost change. They said they could not do that. I asked him to price out ordering a 2018. He gave me the same pricing including documentation taxes and finance rate so I agreed, and signed paper work and provided a $1000 deposit and financing application. I emailed the salesman and finance manager asking them to confirm that the 2.49% financing was locked in as the vehicle would take a few months to come in. The finance manager called me to tell me financing was approved, and not to worry my finance rate was locked in. The salesman replied to my email to confirm that the finance manager had addressed my question. When I took delivery of the vehicle the finance rate was 3.49%. After 2 hours of painful discussions, they gave me a measly $200 discount on the truck, and $300 off an accessory to compensate for the roughly $2200 more in interest I will have to pay! Their excuse was that they have problems with their email system. As I left the dealership, the salesman's assistant offered me a $50 gas card if I gave a positive response to a GM Canada survey on my experience. Not going to happen! Don't trust these guys! Demand everything in writing up front no matter how minor of a detail it seems like.

The staff are island GM are warm and welcoming! Very accepting of all types of people and all types of families. The atmosphere is more relaxed than other dealerships in the area and you don’t feel hounded by the salespeople or pressured to buy. The salespeople will work to fit your budget. Overall, very pleased!

Can only say great things about Phil Stibbs 'Your Aussie Auto Guy'. Honest to deal with and always helpful. He goes out of his way to assist. Highly recommend dealing with Phil.
