Hung Sum Restaurant

Best dim sum in Ottawa by far! I come here all the time and the food never disappoints. The reason the food takes some time is because they make it fresh to order, which is also why it is fantastic. The staff is also really friendly :) I highly recommend this place!

Best dim sum in Ottawa.! Unlike most places that serve dim sum, you select dishes from a menu and the chef makes every item to order. The wrappers are delicate and the fillings delicious. You might have to wait a bit for your order but you won't be disappointed in the freshness and quality of the food. No wonder there are often lineups to get into this humble little place.

Excellent Dim sum. And I know good dim sum. Reasonable pricing and not fatty.

Terrible wait times and service. We waited over 1.5 hours for one plate of food to be served, and when enquiring about the other orders they simply said, "the kitchen lost your order". No apologies or sympathy, they just asked if we still wanted to put in the remaining orders. Another table beside us also had their orders lost and they left early as well, while another table had all their food arriving in one go. If you want to roll the dice and possibly waste over two hours of your day (getting seated took over half an over), this is the place to go. They brought the bill for the one plate of dumplings in neck-breaking time time though, so I guess that deserves one star.

Second time here and I will definitly come again and again and again. The food is freshly cooked on demand, unlike the other dim sum places. The waiting time is definitly worth it. Prices are fair. The food tastes amazing. This restaurant is a chinese restaurant that truly cares about the quality of their food. Their English is also very good. Stop reading and just come try already...
