The place was really nice, it had an atmosphere which attempted to resemble fine dining but without making you feel out of place for not wearing a suit and tie. The food was good tasting however, for the price it was not worth it in both taste and amount. In the end we all left without feeling completely satisfied in the sense that we were not full but also not willing to ask for another $40 dish to get full. The service was ok, nice and courteous but not especially outstanding. What we did dislike, even though it was supposed to be a good gesture from the restaurant's part, was that since we were celebrating a birthday, they brought a birthday "cake" as a free gift. However, this "cake" was a super lame and small cookie which seemed like it came out of a 4 cookie package you buy in the supermarket, and it didn't even taste good. It came in a small plate, the ones for desserts, and the dish looked way too over sized for it, even considering they put a small candle to take up 1/3 of the space. We know this was an attempt to be nice, so we didn't complain, but the restaurant owner should revise this policy to either not give anything or give something nicer. After around $100 bill for each couple, receiving such a gift felt even a little insulting.

Fair prices for great food! Actually though, service, plating, flavour... Everything is on point at this place. I've been a few times and have never been disappointed.

Amazing food with an equally great presentation, their homemade icecream sea salt & caramel delicious. Prices are up there, but very much worth it. Reservations are a must.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Ottawa. Try their surprise option. You won't be disappointed.
