At MēNa, we believe fine dining should be a memorable experience. We make it our job to share pieces of art and culture by creating modern French dishes paired with tasteful Canadian wines to create the ultimate dining experience.

By utilizing locally sourced ingredients, our new restaurant in the heart of Little Italy offers many things other do not. With a menu that features a twist on old favorites, exceptional drinks, and a unique tasting menu, MēNa is something that must be experienced and shared with friends.

The cocktails were amazing!! The open concept kitchen and overall style of the restaurant is top notch. Sat at the bar with greatly skilled and friendly bartender/staff service. Didn’t have any food but everything going out smelled delicious and had great presentation yet very small portions. Reasonably priced. Great for a date or a small group. Will go back and recommend to others for sure. 4.5/5

Got the 7 course meal. Fantastic experience; each of the 7 courses (plus chef's treats in between) were fantastic. Also, kudos to the bartender for making delicious drinks for my wife and I. Going back for sure.

I went to Mena with a business partner of mine for the first time, and we were both pleasantly surprised.
The server was quite polite and knowledgeable in relation to the five course tasting menu we decided to try. They explained every dish served to us in great detail and consistently made sure we were enjoying our experience.
Yes, the portions are quite small but you are paying for the quality of the ingredients used, the ambiance and the experience itself.  
The sweetest gesture at the end of the meal was a little "gift bag" that was given to us that included the menu used for the meal that evening. In this bag there were also delicious treats that were enjoyed the next morning.

My only negative thing to say about the experience was the out of place music that they have decided to play. I do not think playing "We are the Champions" by Queen is appropriate in an establishment like this that caters to individuals that would like to have a relaxing evening out.

A fantastic experience! Went with my wife for a great evening. Had the seven course menu with the wine pairings. Fantastic service, very knowledgeable staff, great cocktails. Will be back for sure.

My wife and I ate dinner at Mena last night. On the positive side, the food, as prepared, was excellent as were the wait staff, especially the sommelier, who was very helpful. But we had some comments which might be useful to potential diners. Mena serves 5,7, or 9 course dinners. Their new policy, since being renovated, is to ask all the members of one party to order the same number of courses. This is to help the chefs with timing the courses. Unfortunately, this policy does not necessarily reflect the differences in appetite of the diners. So, if you have one or more diners who are really hungry and others who aren't, they have to choose between everyone having too much food or too little. This seems like a very strange way to operate a restaurant. The food was delicious as noted, but also very rich. None of the 5 courses we ate last night had any vegetables to speak of, unless you count pureed veg. The meal would have been better balanced with some greens to offset the richness of the protein and sauces. Another comment is with regards to the wine list. The restaurant emphasizes "wine pairings": a different wine with each course. This can add up to a lot of wine. Those wishing to buy wine by the glass will find quite a small selection available. There were many more wines by the bottle than by the glass. Our last comment was with regard to the decor of the restaurant. The dining room now features walls covered with "vintage, white painted barn board" (as close as I can get to describing what it looked like) and one painting. This decor does not really do justice to the space; it's not warm or cozy feeling and really adds nothing to the ambience.  It also does nothing to absorb the noise generated by happy diners in what is quite a small space. I would certainly encourage the owners to add some more colour and perhaps fabric hangings to the walls.
