Bar Lupulus

I very much enjoyed my visit to Bar Lupulus. We were a group of about 16 people and we had a set 6 course meal planned. Each course was presented and we were given plenty of time to enjoy their offering. Everything was delicious. It was obvious that care and love of cooking was behind all that the kitchen staff do. We were there on a Tuesday night and the place was very busy. That in itself says a lot. The bar and restaurant are on one level. There is an accessible washrooms on the main level and 3 separate washrooms downstairs. They were very clean and very comfortable. There is an excellent selection of beers suitable for all tastes. With food as delicious and very attentive service this is definitely a place to return to. If only I could find a willing female to accompany me!! I really enjoyed Bar Lupulus. Great place.

An exceptional dining experience! The service is old style (women served first) which is a nice touch. The food is incredible. Each dish had a mixture of textures and flavours which blended wonderfully. It was like a party in each mouthful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I went with my Dinner Club and it was a resounding yes with regards to returning!

A very nice place to visit if you like to eat things raw. The service was great. The layout was conducive to good conversations. The menu was like I mentioned good for those who are into eating raw. Not being one of those who enjoy such pleasures, I can still say that the steak tartare was quite tasty. All of the ingredients blended nicely together to make it enjoyable. It is worth a visit for those who are adventurous when it comes to trying new things. 😉

I really enjoyed Lupulus. They have a massive variety of beer and the appetizers are excellent. I wouldn't recommend eating the mains - they were not very good at all. I was very surprised that they actually refunded the main we ordered - even though we did not complain. They were clearly more concerned about how we felt rather than making an extra $20. Amazing service and top notch customer service. I would recommend this place to anybody looking to hang out and have a few pints while enjoying excellent meats and cheeses.

Finally a place in Ottawa with a great selection of craft beer on tap and by the bottle. The beer on tap is available in a 4 Oz pour so you can try several. That would be enough to give it stars but the food was great too. I was there with a large group and we had their six course tasting menu. Every course showed a creative flair (balsamic gelato). Oh, and it was all very reasonably priced.
