Love coming here. The food is amazing, Shoyu Ramen, Tan Tan Ramen, Curry, Beef Udon, and more. I have tried many, each of them are great and will try more different types. The food are exactly same as those shown in the menu. I have seen a few opposing views of their service. Now they have additional personnel to serve. Their service is great! Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming! Definitely recommend coming here if you are in Edmonton and want a good bowl of noodles/ramen and more great food!
Hu’s Noodle Nook was pretty decent! First of all, they had exceptionally service! Ella was kind and extremely attentive! The Kanilkura Don was fresh and delicious with an excellent texture. The Black Garlic was delicious and aromotic! The meat on the ramen was the best part!!Recommended dishesTonkotsu Ramen
Had the tan tan with Udon and added an extra order of ramen. Between the two the ramen soaks the soup better imo. Ground pork is tasty, egg is tasty, the peanut broth is quite good as well. The broth has sour notes to it and becomes more sour the longer you eat the soup. Customer service was excellent as well.Food: 4/5
We have come here on several dates already and have enjoyed trying their different noodle dishes. Their soups are tasty and not too overly rich if that isn't your thing. Good selection of soups to choose from but not all of them come with a ramen egg sadly. They do those well! Would recommend any of their ramens to try. Their tantan that's on sale for $14 on Mondays is a good one too! Beware of the spicy garlic miso ramen. That stuff is a bit of a pain to experience a couple of hours later. Worth the experience and will continue to come back again.
First time I went there a few days ago and got the Tantan Udon. I wasn’t expecting much but the broth was damn good with the perfect amount of spice. The noodle could be better though. Would eat there again. Service was nice!Food: 4/5
Great Black Garlic Ramen. Flavour is rich and the soup has the right amount of noodles to not leave anyone hungry after all. Eggs were properly boiled to a nice level. I added some chilli oil to spicy it up. This is my 5th time coming back to this place and the flavour seems better every time. Today our server was super good. She told us she is used to serve at the same place since the times of the former Nomiya Japanese Restaurant which sold this location to new owners. For a Sunday afternoon @ 6PM place was 70% full but quiet enough to strike a conversation with my friend. Returning! Parking: Plenty of available and free parking stalls for Sunday @ 6PM.
Hu's Noodle Nook is tucked away in Oliver Square in Edmonton. This little cozy spot has had other proprietors in the past but it is now home to this beautiful noddle shop. Serving up delicious ramen and other Japanese favorites, you won't go wrong here. The space is quaint and inviting. And the service is extra kind and friendly. The food is delicious. I love this spot because the proprietors are so humble. I'm always rooting in smaller local businesses like this one! 5 x
I ate their tan tan ramen — a must-try. The broth was rich and tasty without being too salty. The noodles themselves were boiled with the right amount of salt. Combined, they were perfectly balanced.Food: 5/5
I tried their shio ramen the flavor of the soup is really good the place and the workers is welcoming. Looking forward to try some other ramen soon.Food: 5/5
Y'all, hands down their black garlic tonkotsu is some of the richest, most flavourful tonkotsu I've ever had. This place definitely moved up as my #1 spot to get some hearty, filling ramen. I also liked that the soup wasn't scalding hot coming out and was hot enough to enjoy and slurp away at without burning your tongue. Helped a lot cause I just could not stop eating my ramen once it came out. My bf got the curry ramen, and that ramen definitely has the spice and punch that hits you in the back of the throat. I would say it's good, but not as creamy and hearty as the black garlic tonkotsu. But he finished the whole bowl nonetheless. We also ordered the mini donburi, which were the perfect size if you wanted to have some rice with your noodles to satiate all your Asian necessities. The Buta Meshi was nice and meaty. Has a good braised beef flavour and the Kanilkura is good if your craving some of that california roll goodness. And we ate all the appetizers before I took a photo but the agedashi tofu was perfect and chicken kaarage was crunchy. 10/10 will come back, and definitely recommend everyone else to come too. Parking: Good parking area, just need to register your plate inside.
