Absolutely amazing dim sum! I fell in love with their soup filled dumplings. You pop one in your mouth and the burst of broth is just *chef's kiss* Their fried chicken noodles are yummy too. If you like a kick of spice, try the cucumber salad and the wontons in chili oil. They are the best!
Such a hidden gem on jasper Ave! I couldn’t believe I didn’t know about this place till now! Everything was so delicious, prices are very affordable! Our sever Lorraine has such a kind soul! She’s so welcoming and knowledgeable!! Definitely going back again soon to try other dishes!
This is a great traditional Shanghai street food restaurant. Pan Fired Bao and Dialing Soup Dumpling are full of soup and flavourful. The thickness of the pastry perfectly complements the stuffing. On the other hand, the crispy pork cutlet is average. The ambiance is spacious and simple.
I ordered the beef noodle soup, the fried tofu bun, and the cucumber salad. The beef noodle soup was savory and delicious. The meat was super tender and basically fell apart in my mouth. The noodles were very springy and bouncy exactly the way I like it. The tofu bun was fried perfectly and not too greasy. The cucumbers salad was also delicious and I ended up dipping the bao into the sauce to extract all the flavor.
Came in without any expectations. Was pleasantly impressed and thoroughly satisfied. I had the Bao with braised pork and soup dumplings, both were delicious. Service staff was great. Thanks guys.
Came here after searching Google for Edmonton Xiao Long Bao. I usually go to Shanghai 456 but I'm so glad I tried this place because in my experience, it's the best Shanghainese restaurant in Edmonton for FLAVOR. There's only 1 person working so don't expect 5 star service. She was doing her best given the circumstances but man oh man the food is outstanding! We ordered the braised beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles, pan fried bao and xiao long bao. The dan dan noodles were average, not enough pork and Sichuan peppercorn flavor. The pan fried bao and braised beef noodles though were amoung the best I've ever tried. The noodles were of perfect texture, chewy and complimented the rich complex beef broth perfectly. This is a small restaurant so expect to wait for a table but I can assure you it's well worth the wait. I highly recommend this place.
Cute little establishment! Atmosphere is very casual and food was overall pretty good. Pricing is reasonable. Service was okay, but could be improved. People who sat down after us got served first.. Would return again. 8/10
There are no good soup dumpling spots in YEG lol...thank goodness for BaoBao because they have something even more delicious. Their pan-fried pork baos are so yummy! Crispy and chewy on the outside and soupy on the inside. We tried their shrimp and pork bao, but found the pork is all you needed delicious perfections.
Saying that BaoBao was delicious is an understatement! It was so good! I ordered the Traditional Pan Fried Bao, the Shrimp Pan Friend Bao, the Classic Bao, the Chicken Shao Mai and the Braised Beef Noodle Soup! All of it was cooked to perfection. The classic bao tasted fresh, the meat was tender and all the ingredients came together in perfect harmony. My favourite was the braise beef noodle soup! Warm, cooked with love and care and had such a savoury taste!
Good food and affordable. Only tried beef Bisket noodles soup 5/5 Dumpling Soup 5/5 BaoBun classic 3.5/5 it was a bit dry. But overall its great. Will definitely come back and will try other food on their menu. Update! Went back two to three times after the first visit. I found the best baobun sandwich is the one with fried chicken. And still the pork dumpling soup and beef brisket noodles are consistently good. Tried the beef BaoBun it was alright.
