Limited parking, but a great atmosphere with good service and excellent food. A simple menu makes it so that they can clearly focus on each dish, which shows in the quality of the ingredients and spices. A little out of the way from downtown Vancouver but worth the trip and strongly recommended!
Delicious Korean dishes specializing in tofu. We ordered variety of different dishes, beef bulgogi, pork bulgogi, seafood tofu along with several appetizers seafood pancake and potstickers. They are.all delicious!
Went on a weekend afternoon and the place was already quite busy. The parking lot was filled, but there was garage parking available. To gain access, you would need to call the business and they will open the gate for you. The restaurant was quite full for an early afternoon, but there were 3 or 4 tables available. We were seated right away and given tea and utensils. Staff were quick to take orders and bring the food promptly. The food was hot, and we got a soup combo to share. The rice was fluffy and crisped up nicely on the sides. The bulgogi was hot and had a rich flavour to it. The soup balanced nicely with the bulgogi with a softer flavour, and paired well with the rice. The combo also came with side dishes like kimchi, potato, and more. Staff did not rush us out, but cleaned up quickly after vacating the table to make room for more customers. Would recommend a visit for some hot, traditional, Korean food and a casual meal.
Limited parking so try to avoid rush hours. A nice atmosphere with k-pop musics and good services. One tofu meal is totally enough to eat well.
Price was okay, not that expensive compared to other places, but the portion was mostly tofu, with a bit of meat. When we were still eating, the server came and gave my friend the bill of 3 of us without asking us if we wanted to separate or not, she didn’t say anything. My friend didn’t speak that much English so he didn’t know and just paid for all. Only until we finished it and waited for the bill, we realized. I just didn’t get it why she gave the bill and wanted us to pay when we were still eating.
The food is pretty good. You have to go inside to put your name down in the sheet. We went around sat 6pm and waited about 15 minutes. The parking outside is very limited, around 8 spaces btw. The tofu soups were very good. The side dishes were ok.
Food is great, service is good. You can smell bleach cleaning when the store open. The owner and workers keep the place neat and clean. The Korean seafood pancake is huge size, and tasty. Servers are patients and professional, they willing to explain their food in detail and make sure you know what you order. And they will confirm your order before submit to kitchen. The dinning area look like a big cafeteria, and everything line up and clean properly. Only downsize is parking is limited at the front. Anyone plan to go there to eat might consider park there car to the mall next doir, which has tons of parking space.
The food was pretty good! My bibimbap stayed piping hot the while meal. I loved the tofu soup. It was a long wait to get in but the service was friendly and the food came quickly once we ordered.
The menu is quite streamlined and easy to understand. The soup was quite nice with a lot of content. However, the seafood pancake had too much batter for my tastes. It was a little difficult to flag down the servers, but they were very helpful and nice.
Always come back to this Korean tofu soup place. I've tried many others in and around Vancouver but this one certainly does it well. Perhaps I'm used to this flavour? Definitely authentic! You know its good when the local Koreans eat here! There are different choices of meat or seafood to go with your soup as well as the spicy level. My go to is pork medium hot. Their seafood pancake is worth trying too!
