Hot Star Large Fried Chicken

I love the king oyster mushroom. I honestly would say I would prefer their mushroom than their chicken. Everytime I come by I get 3 orders. Over the past 2 years I felt they decreased the portion but recently I got 3 portions $18 and was very disappointed. They gave me half the portions of what they used to even though they raised their price. 5.49 + tax for maybe about 7 chopped up peices is crazy. Other than the disappointment of their portion, it's one of my favorite items on their menu.

Dec 13, 2021 @2pm Went here for lunch, ordered original chicken, crispy chicken, corn, and plum sweet potato. We waited too long to get our order, clerk didn't even bother to update us or anything. They seemed like they didn't want to work there. When we finally got it the food, it tasted stale, blant, and oily chicken couldn't even stay upright. Flavouring was lacking in all of our food, it was just a terrible experience. Sweet potato was bitter and I couldn't even recognize the plum flavouring. I feel like I can comment in this experience since I regularly get hot star or monga chicken. Never been so dissatisfied and this location was overall depressing.

I was in Pacific Mall around lunch so I decided to try this one out. I'm glad I did. I ordered the large original spicy with Curry seasoning and a Lychee Soda. Tasted great and it was a good value for the food I got. The Soda was great and the Chicken was crispy and had a lot of flavour. The staff was great and kept updating me on how many minutes it was until the food was ready and I appreciated that. I'd encourage anyone else that likes fried chicken to try this place out.

Love the cheese chicken which is always filled with so much cheese! A little on the pricier side.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Hot Cheese Fried Chicken but after just witnessing the employee use her bare hands instead of tongs to throw in the chicken, I do not want to come back. She proceeded to just rub her hands together, touch her hair and handle cash. A little unsanitary to say the least.

Had the large BBQ fried chicken, was quite tasty. Mostly boneless with some bone sign says it has bone. I would prefer it fully deboned but I guess it adds to the size. Had the popcorn chicken in a previous visit, which I prefer to the massive chicken due to handling and price. Good for a quick meal or snack, just be prepared for the inevitable grease rush that follows.

Can’t relate to the bad reviews cause I have a good experience every time I order here. The fried chicken is always fresh, crispy, juicy and tasty! The chicken is so big, I usually have to share with my husband.

The chicken here is okay. You wait like 20 minutes expecting to be fresh and nice just to get no seasoning in the chicken with overwhelming amount of batter. It's better to literally go to other restaurants offered in Pmall to get shorter waiting time and better food

Tried the curry and special bbq sauce chicken here. The curry flavour was okay, but the bbq flavour was not to my taste. I was also not happy about half of my chicken being bone covered in batter. I checked their diagram and it seems only a small portion of it should be bone, but half of my chicken was bone. The price is not exactly cheap around $27 including taxes for 2, so I wish there was less bone and more meat.

Today wasn't good Day I did try this cheese chicken from that location I was surprised with this chicken unbelievable not good at all! For the money not worthy sorry for the positive feedback real feedback
