First time here for Taiwanese food. Nice interior design, plenty of options, creative and cute food presentation with reasonable price for what we ordered. House Special Taiwanese Style Minced Pork on Rice, Taiwanese Style BBQ Sausage and Minced Pork on Rice, House Special Milk Pudding and Mango Milk Snow Shake are just like the pictures shown on the menu, same as I expected and really tasty. Oreo Milk Black Tea was cute but bland, was just ok, but overall it’s a great experience. I will definitely come back to try other dishes if I travel to Toronto again or hope Mabu can open one branch in Montreal!
Super great vibe at this restaurant as I really enjoyed it. I ordered a salmon bowl, which was okay, I think the protein portion size can be improved. However the dishes was served HOT and sizzling. Additionally, the hotpot style dishes that my friends ordered looked really good, so If I ever come back here that is what I'm going to try. Lastly the lemon tea drink was delicious and would definitely recommend. I would suggest physical menus as well in addition to online since this makes things easier for reference. Also for splitting of bills amongst friends, its easier that way.
This is a really good place to try. The food is good quality, the taste is great and the portion is big with a reasonable price. The hotpot was packed with ingredients and tasted really good. We also enjoy the vibe and the music of the place as it compliments the whole experience. It is also kids and baby friendly. The reason for giving 4 star is that unfortunately, the waiter we had wasn’t the best. He almost dropped the soup on my wife and didn’t apologize and in general he was very cold and barely answered the 2 questions we had despite the limited interaction as the order is placed through your phone. I would definitely still recommend you try it.
Great decent place for food with friends and for a quick bite. Tend to always come here before a movie to fill my stomach. The curry chicken rice is always good, fries are so yummy, wished they gave more than 1 broccoli though. The curry is a bit sweet but that’s how I like it. The takoyaki here is decent, don’t give a lot of that flake on top compared to other places and comes out fairly quickly. My go-to here is usually a sizzling plate or a noodle. The beef sizzling plate dish was a tad bit too salty due to the sauce but lots of meat given. The beef noodle unsure of exact name is always very good. Meat is soft, broth is good and very filling. The bubble tea here is eh, nice to have sometimes but could definitely get better around the area. Staff is nice and fairly tentative, overall great place even though prices have gone up a bit. Been coming here for many years. For a couple, we usually spend around $40-50 here.
My first time here as I hadn't try any tasty Taiwanese foods in Toronto. It didn't disappointed me, the foods were delicious, the portions were in good size, and the price was reasonable. The service was good except one male server was not very responsive as we asked him the question and he walked away and didn't get back to us. I will go back to try other different dishes.
The service was nice and efficient and there was a lot of options on the menu. The decor in the space was also nice! I got the shrimp tempura on rice while my partner got the deep fried pork cutlet on rice with mapo tofu sauce and both were pretty good! I wish that the sauce for the rice on my dish was on the side since it was a little bit difficult to mix with the other items on top but that’s probably just a nitpick. We also tried the fried bread with sesame and brown sugar and that was also really good! The outside of the bread was nice and crispy while the inside was still a little bit fluffy.
Visited on a special occasion with my family and I must say my miso pork hot pot was the best dish! It was extremely tasty, generous proportions, and the vermicelli was perfect with the broth. The mango brick toast was my first brick toast ever and was quite delicious. It did take over half an hour for it to be prepared, so order it in advance! Overall my family and I enjoyed our meals and would come again :
I've been here twice. Decent Taiwanese food. The lunch specials are worth it, although at the end of the day you can get better boba elsewhere. The minced pork bowl was great, good balance of pork and rice. I would have liked more than once piece of broccoli though. The egg was tasty but very tough for some reason. The sides were quite small.
The place was nice and clean. The service was excellent. Ordered their signature Taiwan style minced pork on rice. It was decent. The pork was flavorful, the tea eggs were savory and tasty, the pickles were delightful. The portions and prices were reasonable. I would think it would be much more practical to use a larger bowl instead of the current very full small bowl.
It was my second time here, it was great! The service was fast and super friendly. They were really busy but they were still able to keep in demand with their guests. I ordered popcorn chicken, fried tofu and one of their hotpot dishes. The portion was huge and we had leftovers for the next day. The price was decent not too expensive. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
