Mei Nung Beef Noodle House

Not exactly authentic Taiwanese cuisine. But probably the only stinky tofu with pickled cabbage that taste closest to what you get in the night market in Taiwan. Stinky tofu not as stinky as we like but our child have it five out of five. My partner doesn't like the particular noodle that has a distinct taste to it. Some people love that particular taste. The tendon and beef were tender and juicy. The soup was good. The spicy oil and sauce on the table were spicy enough. The veggies were good, too bad it was not those veggies with hollow stems. The appetizers were on the sweet side. If you are used to northern Chinese cuisines, this would be too sweet for you. Taiwanese cuisine is on the sweet side in general.

Little little non descript restaurant nestled in First Markham place serves up delicious hand pulled noodles in a tasty beef broth. You'll know your getting close when you catch the whiff of traditional Taiwanese Stinky Tofu! You know the soup is of super high quality if it turns to gel when put into the fridge if you take it home. Literally good till the last drop. Serving size is very generous with really large toppings of beef and tendon. Don't forget to try their delicious side dishes as well! My favourite is the silky tofu with thousand year preserved egg and Bonito / Fish Flakes Service is excellent with very attentive wait staff.

Taiwanese beef noodle soup and stinky tofu - large portions for reasonable price. Quick, no frills service. I expected the beef noodle soup to have more strong spice liquorice flavour, but it was still comforting. Stinky tofu was not very salty and did not have strong flavour smells way more pungent than it tastes, and had a nice sweet and salty sauce. Clean interior and washrooms

Ordered preserved tofu as recommended by the waitress. It’s crispy and hot. For taste you need to like blue cheese. Also ordered beef noodles. Soup taste so so only. Noodles are chewy which I like. beef tendon no taste but soft.

We got their Homemade Beef & Beef Tendon Noodle Soup, and Homemade Dumpling in Beef Soup w/ Beef Tripe. Their Beef Noodle Soup came in a RICH broth, it had chewy round Noodles, topped with tender Beef and Tendons, it was a wonderful bowl! Dumplings were Cabbage & Pork Dumplings, it was flavourful, loaded in fillings, served in their RICH Beef Broth topped with tender Beef Tripe, it also made the perfect bowl! They are also known for their Stinky Tofu, you can smell it as soon as you walk in, though we didn’t try it this time, we will definitely be back for it!

Been coming here for many years. My favourite spot for beef noodle soup. You can't come here and not get the stinky tofu! It's crispy, pungent and has just enough firmness to my liking and the picked vegetable that come with it really helps with clearing you pallet.

Craving for beef noodles soup? a side of stinky tofu? I have been here countless times. so good. Definitely had some type of stinky tofu scent once you get close. I will always be back for some more. I ate all the stinky tofu before I could remember to take a photo, My apologies

More than 50% of the tables ordered this dish so it can't be that bad. Good choice, cooked fresh and the stink was not that bad when compared to the stinky tofu stalls in Mongkok, Hong Kong. Their beef noodle was stellar, flavorful broth, tender beef and chewy noodles. I have not visited the shop for a long time. The quality maintained and the favour is strong. The beef and tenderloin are both tender and excellent taste. The noodle includes the Taiwanese green reddish. The hot sauce is available on the table which is pairing up very well with the noodle soup.Recommended dishesHomemade Beef Noodle Soup

We ordered the beef and beef tendon noodle soup and it was amazing! The soup was super good and we did not feel thirsty afterwards. Beef and beef tendon were very soft with just the right texture. Noodles were chewy. Overall a very comfortable meal after a long day. Will definitely come again!
