We stayed 3 nights in the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre.nWe had a King room on a high floor with a view redeemed on points.nnThe decor was nice, although somewhat dated. which included wall to wall carpetingnEverything was in perfect condition.nnAlthough there are heavy metal doors that imply adjoining rooms, staff told me these rooms are not classified as adjoining and we never heard anyone through those doors. The room was very quiet.nnBed comfort and lines were great.nHVAC system was efficient.nnWater temperature and pressure was excellent.nnThere was both a coffee maker and a kettle a unique combo as well as a small mini-fridge, but no microwave.nnIf you want a glass of wine in your room, the plastic glasses are super thin look like $store qualitynnFront desk staff were very engaging, helpful and friendly.
What a terrible and deceptive booking experience.nnWe called the number listed for Holiday Inn specifically to book directly, expecting honest pricing and flexibility. Instead, we were connected to a very slick and dishonest sales rep “Enzo” who quoted $650/night. When we pointed out that Expedia had the same room for $450, he suddenly offered to “match” that rate.nnWe proceeded based on that representation only to receive a confirmation showing the first night at ~$450 and the remaining nights at nearly $800/night. This was never disclosed and feels like a complete bait-and-switch.nnTo make matters worse, when we got our confirmation, we called back within 30 minutes to cancel due to the discrepancy and were told the booking was non-refundable despite clearly stating upfront that we needed flexibility due to potential health issues this was for a senior.nnThis was misleading, high-pressure, and deeply disappointing. Be very careful calling their reservation line, this did not feel like dealing directly with the hotel at all. We spent 45 minutes on the phone disputing the charges and they told us there was nothing they could possibly do to help. Enzo disappeared conveniently.nnWe are now disputing the charge with our credit card company. What a scam! Stay away from this hotel.
The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was lovely. Also, had a great time hanging out in the lounge! Derek was an excellent bartender. Overall great experience!
We had a wonderful stay and were impressed by the friendly, attentive staff who made us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. The room was clean and comfortable, and we would happily stay here again on our next visit.
We had such a great experience at the Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre Broadway. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very informative. The restaurant was fantastic—breakfast was delicious, and our waitress was so wonderful that my companion even gave her a hug goodbye!nnThe rooms were large, bright, and very clean, with a great layout and nice extras like a fridge. I would highly recommend staying here.
