We didn't realize that it was a holiday in Canada while visiting and reserving this room. Check-in was very busy, but the staff member held his cool and kept everything moving along. The room was excellent. Comfortable bed, soft towels. Breakfast was good, eggs, and many choices. Obviously, that was the reason so many families booked this hotel. Unfortunately, we found out there was one cook and two staff members stocking items and cleaning up behind the many families. We were surprised how the guests were very rude to staff and didn't even clean up after themselves. I guess they thought they were in a restaurant! We would highly recommend staying here but not necessarily on a holiday weekend!
This hotel is in pretty good shape but a few minor repairs, like paint touch ups, could be done. But it's very clean and smells fine. Located in a good place for people travelling but not so much if you are exploring Kingston. It's 4 km to downtown. But if that meets your needs, then it's fine.
It's a Holiday Inn, not a 5 star resort. So go with reasonable expectations people.nnRooms were clean, free breakfast with a gym and pool room.nnParking on site with a shopping Plaza close by for essentials, and a grocery store and restaurants close by too.nnSuggestion - Make the pool 24 hrs like the gym room. Couple times I wanted to do a Midnight swim for meditation but kept forgetting the pool room closes at 10
We were only there for one night but it was a really nice stay. The room had a sitting area and the bathroom and bedroom were very clean. There were also a few restaurants nearby so we had a good amount of choice for food. If you plan to visit Kingston it's not the best place for sightseeing but it's close enough with a car. And it's also a good place to just stop for the night near the highway while you go somewhere else. We tend to stay at Holiday Inn Express for short trips because the quality is pretty consistent and the service is good.
Hotel was perfect in all aspects cleanliness was incredible pool hot tub and gym area where pristine spotless and beautiful room was very nice absolutely no problems with this hotel it has been the nicest hotel I have stayed in yet. The breakfast buffet was great saved much money freshness and selection we're all there if I could give higher than five stars I would
