Thriftlodge Kingston

Good enough of a place to spend a night, but nothing special. Specially for the $$ we spent on a King room. Hotel doesn't look at all attractive from outside and once you're in, you see that everything needs some serious updating. Had to call to a reception to check breakfast time. There's no note about it in the room, nor did the receptionist mention it. Breakfast is held in a conference room. Could do with little more variety, but overall, not bad. Rooms are quiet and clean. Not enough outlets to plug in your phone over night, though.

Made a last minute reservation as we were too tired to carry on with our travels for the day. Phoned ahead and the staff were very cordial and inviting. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, but want the necessities and basics, then I recommend the Thriftlodge. It's an older building, but very clean and is close to many restaurants. Good value.

We stayed here for two nights in a recently renovated room. Although the hotel is located on a busy street, our room was quiet. The establishment is very clean and includes a continental breakfast. We were also able to receive a discounted rate as we were staying due to a family member being hospitalized. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again!

Unfortunately due to the lack of space, I'm unable to give my full review. We booked a jacuzzi suite with kitchenette and were given and loft suite. Front desk staff have discount which was kind but basically went to buying more food as we couldn't prepare what we brought. Wyndham, who we booked through contacted property owner and I have heard nothing in just about 2 weeks.

Good location for things going on across the street. Clean and comfortable rooms.
