Stayed here twice, both nice experiences. Dog friendly and newly remodeled. There are coffee stations in the hallways with sparkling/still water. Parking available on site for a small fee. Pool and hot tub. I felt comfortable here, and would definitely stay here again if visiting Burlington.
Location is convenient. Booked a lake view room. The bar downstairs is nice. The restaurant attached to the hotel is cute and tasty. Service was slow though so don’t go there if you are trying to stick to a schedule. Rooms were decent sized because I booked a deluxe king. Bathrooms are very small. You could tell the remodel happened, but was done kind of cheaply. Like they painted over a lot and did the landlord’s special.
Stayed there last weekend and upon checking in, was told there would be a $100 incidentals fee. Then I was charged $200 and when I asked the reason for the increase, the representative said, “it’s $200 per day”. That’s not what was communicated. We stayed in room 731 and it sounded like a toilet was flushing all day and night. The view was amazing but it wasn’t worth the extra $206 invoice for city taxes, state taxes, parking, amenities, etc etc. SURPRISE! Then when I asked to add my Hilton number to the room info, I was told I could not add it because it was booked through Booking.com. Terrible service. I won’t be staying at another Hilton again. So bad.
The rooms were pretty but that’s about it. This place is extremely overpriced. There were hidden extra fees I was not expecting and that feIt slimy to me. Also, I can appreciate that it is a pet friendly hotel, however both morning we were woken up by incessant dog barking. When we informed the front desk it took an hour both times to quiet the dogs down. They offered no long term solution for us - just to deal with the barking. We should not have had to lose sleep because of others poor abilities to care for their animals. They did not even ask us how our stay was during check out. Lastly, we recieved a parking ticket in the parking garage despite paying $16 a day to park there.nThe views are nice if you stay up top but that’s the only reason to stay at this hotel. Otherwise, it’s pretty crappy.
The hotel is on the shores of Lake Champlain. Beautiful views, great guest areas. They offer food, games and a boutique store all under one roof. There is lots to do in downtown Burlington, from the Vermont Comedy club, different cuisines. Awesome place to visit!
