Baymont Inn & Suites Essex Burlington Area

Beautiful room, we were just there to sleep after the Champlain Valley Fair so we didn't see much of the hotel. Breakfast was yummy, my 2 picky kids ate a lot, always a good sign. Oddly though, the hallways were HOT. Almost sauna hot. Room was wonderfully air conditioned though so it didn't matter - just weird.

Excellent room. Was in town over night for a conference the next morning. Parking garage was conveintly located. Nice amenities. Super comfortable bed. Would stay again & recommend to a friend.

Just not worth it! We had 5 rooms for 4 days to attend a family wedding. Upon arrival, staff NON attentive and just not professional. There was kid behind counter, adult friend sitting behind counter on cell phone. Internet or Wifi not working in business center. Elsewhere, it was very very slow or not working many times!!! One of our rooms was not made up or given clean towels, first morning. When asked front desk why, they said, "we don't know why," and wouldn't do anything to remedy it. Same room asked for a wake up call, they never called the room, making us late to the wedding! Breakfast food ran out and staff not checking on items, every morning guest had to keep asking for food to be brought. Bed was very firm. Pillows are small square pillows. Pool had too a high of a level of chlorine! It actually made your eyes burn just walking into the pool area!!! The staff even said the levels are too high!!! It was awful!!!! No parking Sat. Night due to 3 enterprise trucks taking like 16 spaces....when we asked, "why they were like that", staff's response, " it is some kind of workers who are working on a project locally....our response, "ok why not ask them to move?....that a good idea!!!!" ...we had to park on the grass between hotel and a local business!!!! Only good was decor and rooms where up to date!

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We've had to ask for a bunch of extra shampoo and towels and things and they never gave us a hard time at all. The rooms are nice and clean and the facilities (gym, pool, etc.) are all nice and clean. Breakfast was decent and free with plenty of quick options so nothing really to complain about there. Overall good experience.

Reasonably clean, but that's about it. Was there for Vermont City Marathon and the hotel refused to provide a late checkout. I mean not like they were full (Sunday to Monday is generally the lowest occupancy for hotels). Palmer House in Chicago was happy to do it, but it seemed Baymont was too fine for it. They ran out of water at breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast was edible but not much above that. Added a $1.50 "safe and insurance" charge I did not book nor ask for, probably hoping everyone ignores it. Little stuff, but it ads up. Stay away if you can. Room was nice and reasonably clean for the class of hotel.
