Hermann's Jazz Club

Delightful gem of a place. We came here on a Sunday and it was the perfect chill vibe you want on a lazy Sunday. You lose track of time. Wonderful staff delivering friendly and prompt service. The food and drinks are almost as great as the jazz! We enjoyed the wrap and the chicken sandwich special. Both had a TON of avocado which was a delicious surprise. The kitchen knows their stuff and the ambiance is bang on.

A fantastic venue, intimate, cozy great musicians, a wonderful bar tender, a great value and a real treat if you have some time to enjoy the artistic side of Victoria. Best charcuterie I've had here downtown.

I had the great pleasure of being invited to attend Hermann's Jazz Club by friends and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The staff were very accommodating and diligent. The prices were exceptionally good. I had the burger with fries and it tasted far better than the burger places in town. The cheesecake was rich and had just the right amount of sweetness. The charcuterie board was excellent and a bargain for the price. It was the entertainment that really shines through. The music was phenomenal and I couldn't help but get into the spirit of it all. I've never considered myself a jazz person, but this evening has made me rethink my position! The whole evening was special. After the show, the musicians hung about and interacted with the crowd. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would highly recommend the location. Make sure to book well in advance and grab your seats early!

Hermann's has a lengthy history, and it is easy to see why. It has ambience, great staff and a cool venue. Most of all it has great music - which carries the day! I was there on a Sunday afternoon, with a small but appreciative crowd, and it still was an excellent jazz experience thanks to the band - Blackstick!

Wonderful night at Hermann's. The food was reasonably priced and full of flavor. I had the salmon, there was so.much food. It had a delicious caper sauce, along with fresh baby potatoes, cauliflower and a small arugula salad. The service was impeccable even though it was busy and the band was very entertaining. Go.support live music and your local venues!

This wonderful gem of a night club is a must see for any jazz lover. A small but cozy venue that is warm and intimate allowing you to fully experience the performance of the day. Don't forget to bring your appetite to enjoy some great food prior to the event. The staff were super friendly and overall this was an enjoyable evening.

Hermann's is a great place to see jazz and other kinds of musical acts. The original downstairs bar is more jazz oriented. Hermann's Upstairs lounge is purpose built for live music and features bands from all genres. The sound and seating upstairs is excellent. My favorite local venue for live music. Recommended.

Had a truly enjoyable evening at Hermann’s. Music was wonderful - Lorraine Nygaard and Ashley Wey band - as was the venue. Very intimate jazz club and definitely worth a visit. The food was excellent and reasonably priced and the service was prompt and our server sorry-can’t remember her name said she was new there, but she was fabulous and efficient. Highly recommend Hermann’s!

Music was amazing, but be prepared for some misogyny. The owners or staff, I'm not sure seemed to condone outwardly sexist behaviour towards female attendees and musicians. To their credit, the offender was asked to leave, but only after enough attendees confronted him
