Steve just saved me $75 on a purchase of two bolts compared to the OEM supply chain. I gave him the full fastener designation including the required grade and was in and out of the store in less than ten minutes. Maybe less than five minutes. I don't know; my head's still spinning. Really interesting quality tools and supplies there. Go, quickly, now! And as mentioned by others, go prepared.

Incredibly knowledgeable, knows his stuff inside out. NOT cheap, but fairly priced. But got what the others don't have, and mostly in stock too. Friendly, once you get to talk, but I have the impression he doesn't suffer fools, esp. arrogant fools, gladly ;) (This might be the reason for the bad review he got) I got referenced by another Hardware store that did not have what I needed. Harsupco is really an industrial supplier in a smal hardware store. They are NOT a consumer hangout or a place to expect petty hand-holding. I have had 50 years of technology behind me and am happy when I get the chance to go there, but I am not that close. If the store appears empty ity is more because his clients get in, get what they need and get on with their own business. they have better things to do than loiter around. I have bought items, especially screws, nuts bolts, taps, dies, files and more there I could either not get where I am, or at a generally better price, especially if I buy in larger quantities. But, being retired and travelling from Pointe Claire by bus & metro, I find the 55 bus north from de Castelnau metro often a problem due to heavy overcrowding. STM need to put more service on this line in business hours.

Got the metric screw and bolt I needed. However, I felt like I was bothering him. Sighing every two second like : get out of my store... Maybe it was a bad day for him I don't know :(

Do not confuse bad customer service with get to the point without messing around. If you need any kind of bolts, nuts or screws, Harsupco has it and will sell it to you. If you are looking to negociate a 10 cent bolt and be served with a smile you might be at the wrong place. A true Montreal institution do not hesitate to visit.
