The Home Depot

Bad news. Avoid it for appliances!! No sales/service people available... ever. Here's my story. I visited this morning (Tuesday, 10:00 am)... so no crowds... to check out ovens. I could have dropped dead in their appliance section and no one would bother checking on me. After loitering around the stoves for 10 minutes, I very politely approached the only salesperson who was busy chatting with a customer. You would have thought I was asking for his first born child! I just asked him where "x" stoves were. He very off-handedly pointed and went back to his chat with his customer (no problem,; I understand). However, another sales person strolled through the section.... When I asked him if there was anyone else working in appliances, he responded "yes, but they must be helping other customers.." There WERE no other customers in the section, and NO other salespeople. After a good 15 minutes without so much as a "I will help you as soon as I can," or any gesture of help, I left in total frustration.. I went down the street and bought a $3000 stove. Tough for you Home Depot. I will avoid you whenever I can. I know, perhaps other departments of Home Depot are better, some stores are better than others, and they CAN be helpful... But they really need to get their service/sales act together in the appliance section. I have bought from them before and it was also a disappointing experience... so two strikes... their out!

The service on the shop was great, and the products were fine. But we had a terrible experience with the delivery and installation. The guys that came refused to install the oven, leaving it in the middle of the kitchen, they also scratch our hard wood floor. They refused to speak in English so my boyfriend couldn't communicate with them, and they make him sign the delivery without proper explanation. We called to file a complain, and we got a phone number after talking with six different people. We end up going to the shop, we sent a complain by mail as we were told to do but no answer so far. We expend more than 6000 dollars, and still had to pay for the installation of the oven and will have to repair the floor. Really disappointing experience, careful with his delivery/installation service.

Service is non-existent. Wanted to buy and cut some wood, found a perfect piece; the saw wasn’t working. I asked when it can be done, the answer from the manager was “can’t do it today and tomorrow, not sure about the week”. I mean if you don’t know answers that simple about your store, are you at the right place managing it? I wanted to give you money and instead you’ve got a disappointed customer turning to other stores.

The people and service on the shop were great, polite and responsible. and they gave us good discounts.However we had a terrible experience with the appliances delivery. The guys are very rude and also they scratched our hard wood floor. Home Depot, please change the delivery company.

Customer service is absolute garbage. I tried to return something within the allowed scope and they denied me forcing me to go all across town to the other home depot which allowed me to return it. Not returning. Don't know how to interact with customers, were very patronizing.
