Hardisty Seniors Community

My mom was only here for 8 months but she enjoyed the staff very much. They were very caring and she had a window view of the ravine. We moved mom to another facility closer to family but she missed the great and caring staff. The facility itself is in desperate need of upgrading.

My mom was transferred to Hardisty from the hospital this summer. The staff has shown nothing but kindness and compassion in their care. I can't thank them enough. On Thanksgiving Day, they served a great meal.

My mother was transferred to Hardisty after leaving the hospital. I was very surprised to see the conditions of the rooms. Very old, and not cleaned often. With lack of air conditioning the residents were lethargic. Only a few fans were going. The staff were often on there phones, not conversing with the seniors, who you could see dearly needed some loving attention. My mother fell 3 times in 2 months, and once another patient pushed her wheelchair into the alley of the building and left her there. Had not the nurse from the 3rd floor looked outside, who knows how long she would have remained there. I was so pleased when we were accepted into another facitlity. It could not have been quick enough. Since then she has gained 6 pounds in one week, and is doing much better. If you have a loved one arriving here, PLEASE put your name in another facility and hope they get transferred quickly.

The facility is old and near end of life. Aesthetics can be deceiving. The team on the second floor were very caring and attentive to any concerns or requests we had. Although the equipment is older, the staff still excel and are outstanding.

Would give 0 stars if I could.nnMy grandfather was transferred here, and oh boy, where do I start? Very dirty, the inside of the entire building smells of urine, no AC, very dark, staff is very lazy, on their phones, sitting around doing nothing.nnMy grandfather passed away due to their negligence and laziness to not properly sanitize and disinfect medical equipment.nnHardisty should not be called a Transition home whatsoever, and I feel bad for the other seniors who don’t have family coming to see them and pester the people working there as much as my family did, because we weren’t telling them to change his grandfathers clothes, telling them he needs to eat, etc, they wouldn’t do it, my grandfather went from a XL to a M shirt size in their care.nnThey need to be seriously investigated.
