Gold's Gym Calgary Country Hills

It feels like the place was put together too quickly. Machines seem to be built half fast. Men's locker room is never cleaned. Not sure it's worth getting a platinum card because there isn't a way to hold people accountable. They also don't take care of the pool area because of the ring around the hot tub.

I have platinum membership, and I never missed payment, but unfortunately there was one time my payment did not go through, and ever since then, there has been a problem. I am trying to solve this problem, but unfortunately staff is not responding at all. I called twice and left voice mail, but no response regarding this, so I decided to go in person, and unfortunately the front staff Nikki, who mentioned her self as an account manager was so arrogant and rude. Instead of listening and looking at my account, she was yelling at me. Finally, I decided to speak to sales team, and one of the sales team person said, that she is not account manager, and she only works as a front staff. It was hard to believe that people lie about designation. I obtained email to get a hold onto account department to settle my account issue, and sent already two emails to them, and has been over more than two days after my last email, and still no response. It is frustrating that you are not able to use gym, and they have suspended your account, and still cahrging money more than they supposed to, and ask you to pay. I hope someone reads this, and contact me to solve my account issue, which I am trying to solve since few weeks already? Very disappointed from people working this location. Thanks in advance.

Great Gold's location! Lots of amenities and equipment. My wife loves the 'women's only' section. If you decide to join, please tell them I referred you - I'd appreciate it!

All they want is your money and to sign you up with a contract that you can't get out of. They don't tell you it is a contract until you've signed and they sweet talk everything to make you go with what they say..cant even change your contract plans and would rather you change it for a higher pay one so that they are the ones who benefit. Platinum plan sucks. Its not worth it. you receive a bottled water everyday but they are always out of stock and rotten apples all the time. Very disgusting. You get that everyday. no switch around or something to choose from. Towels being used are torn and unclean. No shower gels in shower rooms. Trainer sees you every 3 months and doesn't give a rats ass what your doing or how far along you are. Whats the point of a plan when you don't receive the benefits being offered to you? Its these small things that they say they do and they don't. People pay money to use a new facility hoping to have that good classy feel.... had high hopes for this new location but honestly all the locations are the same, annoying staff can't get back to you. false promises...

I have a platinum membership and I came in one day wanting a water bottle but they didn't have any so I had to keep sipping from the water fountain because I forgot to bring my own. Another huge issue is that the Women's washroom is never cleaned. Extremely dirty place, never any paper towels to dry your hands, soap dispensers are empty and theres hair everywhere. Absolutely disgusting to see. The women's side needs to be properly cleaned on the daily. Other than that, staff is pretty nice, but the gym needs to be much more organized for the price people are actually paying.
