Have been a member at this gym for over 6 months now and can honestly say that I have never looked back. The staff and other gym goers are really nice, facility is constantly kept clean, has a good amount of equipment all basically brand new and open space and the membership price is cheap. When I heard that World Gym Sunridge was voted North America’s #1 new gym, I was not surprised. They also have a VIP area, a studio, a tanning booth, a sauna, showers, massage chairs and a smoothie bar. The only qualm I have with the gym is that the cable machines are constantly under repair. The gym hours are fair and I can understand why they’re not open 24/7. I wish they would stay open a little later on the weekends though! Aside from that, I think they could do with 1 or 2 more squat racks and free-weight benches as they are almost always being used.
I enrolled in this gym not only because it is affordable but also because they have all the facilities I need. Lots of new and different style exercise machines, a group exercise room, a cross training room, a separate ladies section for those who wish to, a sauna and even massage beds. And it's quite spacious and always clean. I highly recommend this gym over other popular ones.
They advertise for 24hrs but everyday they reduce operating hours for some reasons, they say Mon-Friday 24hrs, but they close at 11pm on Fridays, and for weekends when people have more time to workout they close at 8pm. Don’t think they close because nobody wants to workout, last week they almost kicked out everybody at 8 when more than 15 people wanted to continue working out. Plus their WiFi doesn’t work most of the times, because it’s weak for that many people at the gym. Overall, operating 24hrs is the biggest lie about World Gym. They really need to fix this issue. It’s controlling people’s time.
Great gym honestly, when I have arrived I was greeted by Aaron who is one of the friendliest dudes I've met. The man was definitely knowledgeable and very nice. The only problem I have with this place is the people do NOT put weights away. Very annoying when you just see people just leaving plates around and seeing staff having to clean up everything for these people.
super slay gym !! tons of equipment, extremely friendly staff, and the barbell café is amazing. one “complaint” is that there’s only two squat racks and two flat chest press benches that are almost always taken, but i don’t mind using the smith machine for squats or a regular bench and a free barbell for chest presses. more stuff in the women’s only room would be cool too, but i understand it’s a small room with a niche audience. very inexpensive memberships and easy-to-understand membership conditions. awesome gym to get jacked at as long as you don’t mind waiting to use the more popular equipment
A gem of a gym for any fitness enthusiast! Brand new arsenal equipment, well lit, clean, merchandise for sale, not too busy, tons of weight. Will drop in for my training every time I’m in Calgary moving forward. Thanks for a great facility.
The gym is always so clean and the equipment is brand new and amazing. I love the women's only section. Samia and Zaineb are always so welcoming in the morning. Especially when your still wishing you were in bed. Jasmine the manager is always so helpful and knowledgeable. Aaron in the evening is always there to help and is more then happy to answer any of your workout questions. I don't know the other 2 guys names but they are always so happy to see me even thought I don't really know them. The people that go to the gym are so friendly it really has an amazing gym culture and age doesn't matter or size. Thank you worlds gym staff for always making me feel welcomed and comfortable each time I come!
The gym is clean and the staffs are friendly. Their membership prices are reasonable as well.
Sauna is broken again such a shocker the employee said to me not sure what you guys are doing to it. ? Like how is it our problem get it fix. Having a sauna on-site is one of the reasons why I signed up for membership, so annoying. And Naveen the trainer is horrible for business he text me to ask me when I was going to sign up for training session. I read it but did reply. So the next time I went in, he said to me, why didn’t you answer me I seen that you read my text like f…. Really. Also, it would be nice if he didn’t leave his belt and cup on equipment people are afraid to use it because he comes up to you and said he’s using it. But hasn’t been there for 20 minutes. I have complain few times about him and front staff nothing changes. There is only a few people that are nice at front counter you are the first point of contact and the last. A acknowledgement would be appreciated.
One of the cleanest and open gyms. All equipment is new and always looked after. The staff is incredible, and welcoming. Naveen is a super knowledge trainer there, and is highly recommend. Overall one of the best gyms in Calgary.
