Came to Glow in a group of 9 with prior reservation. From the moment we ordered food till the last person got their order, it took 55 minutes. From the person who got their food till the last person, it took more than 20 minutes. We got 2 plates about every 5 minutes. This resulted in cold food. The server was very polite and when we inquired if there was a problem in the kitchen, she apologized saying they didn’t expect to be busy and only had one person in the kitchen. This was Saturday morning and there were a total of 20 clients in the restaurant making it very empty. We were the biggest group and had a reservation so they expected us. In addition to waiting for long and receiving cold food, the portions were not standardized. Ordering the same meal, one person received twice as much potatoes. Surprisingly, the meal was described with red skin potatoes but came with very dry yellow potatoes. Overall, the experience was very disappointing.
wasnt too crazy about the food at this place but the patio views and decors are gorgeous! our server was so polite and cheerful. we had to send back the chicken bc it was too dry..the trout lacked flavour/seasoning, but a pinch of salt & pepper helped..the herbed gnocchi was good w.exxxtra sauce as i requested, the chicken was a bit tough and dry too but the extra sauce helped! next time we gotta try their cocktails!
The place was very nice, the menu and food itself was good. The girl who served us was nice maybe because it was a little late and on a Wednesday but I thought service and time for food to arrive was a little long. Wednesdays they have buck a shuck oysters I was excited for but apparently we finished the last set but we were told this normally doesn't happen. Wish they had a bit more options for the sauces but okay otherwise.
Immediately you notice the decor, especially what they have on the ceiling. It’s interesting to say the least, my wife pointed out the fact that it looks like you’re sitting inside the lower intestine of a cow. The ripple affect of the art installation kind of gives the feeling you’re inside of a large animal stomach. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, but it is very weird or some would say ultra modern. One more interesting thing to point out about the layout is the booth. Or should I say all the booths. Every seat has a leather belt strapping in a cushion, it’s like some sort of weird BDSM theme where you can restrain your guests while they eat. There was a complimentary bread plate with the standard olive oil and balsamic vinegar, but what was interesting and a little different was the ricotta cheese and beat purée. It tasted more like fresh beats than anything else… Not quite my taste but it was free. The grill cheese was very good, expensive, but it is what it is! I must say though the gourmet turkey burger was amazing, the brioche bun was very good, and the generous patty!
I am gonna share two different comments for the same night; At first it took 30min to get a table in the patio. Which is fine for Friday night in the May. But the table was the worst spot of patio. In front of server station. When the band started to perform , it was too loud. When we asked to be relocated the receptionist girl impolitely refused although we said we will till one leaves. We gave up and moved inside. The rest was so fine. Our server, she was so nice and attentive. We had wine and 4 cheese pizza which was good in this price range. I would say it is worth it to go there and enjoy the vibe and patio is great if management hire another receptionist. The best part of our experience was, we were the true last customer and it was after mid night. We lost track of time and still were talking, Servers never interrupted us and just waited till we figured out , it’s time to leave. This is what customer wants to be treated and experience.
Great service but the food no matter what you order need serious Gordon Ramsay help. Quite disappointed at the food / taste / freshness and quality. Btw. Please get a Slayer Expresso machine instead of Nespresso. That as honest as I can gave and hopefully the chef can improve
Threw a small wedding shower this past weekend. Highly recommend if you want to host a party in the private room, the food was fantastic and the wait staff was always attentive and everything went really smoothly from booking to the end. I would definitely host a party here again!
Except for the noise, very good restaurant. All the ingredients were very fresh, none were over cooked, the service was gracious. If in doubt, ask for the pizza du jour.
Food was good. went for Glowlicious 35$ 3 course meal. was very good. well timed and nice and quiet. staff was friendly and prompt, came to check up on us every 10 minutes
We walked into the restaurant randomly and had this fabulous $22 + taxes all you can eat brunch. There are selections and all good not huge size portion. The omelette booth is a must visit. Great service!
