Bier Markt

Update: I went vegan about 3 months ago, and on my most recent visit in Oct 2017, the waitress was kind enough to ensure that my meal was completely vegan by consulting the chef a few times to confirm ingredients. It turned out that the vegetarian meals I wanted weren't vegan friendly, so they made me a grilled veggie sandwich that was absolutely delicious! I was very happy with the service. Original: Bier Markt is a good place to have a casual meal with friends. I've been here a couple of times. The staff as always pleasant. My only complaint was the lighting in the restaurant is too dim and the decor leaves something to be desired. The prices are a bit above average with one person's meal averaging about $20-35 dollars depending on what you order. They have brunch options, which are bit cheaper and have pretty good selection. They're fish options are fresh and well cooked. Try the Ahi Tuna burger! They have many options for Bier, obviously, but I'm not a beer lover. I chose a pear cider that was great!

Not bad for an upscale pub. Food was good and lots of beer to choose from. But the service was little lacking. Found the server to have a little bit of an attitude when asking about stuff on the menu and questions about the beer. I don't know if I will go back since there are better places in the Don Mills Centre to eat at.

Always good food and service. They can accomodate different group sizes. Had a birthday here and it was well serviced. A good large selection of beer. The place isnt set out as cozy as the downtown ones but is just as inviting at the shops.

Was great a long time ago, not so much now that Cara Food Corp owns it. Saturday night very inefficient seating with long waits despite empty tables & several hostesses. Fondue (signature dish) may not actually have real cheese anymore--not sure but it never melted! Nice waiter assisted by 'condensing it down' which apparently meant adding something starchy so it became more like cream of wheat. Salad & vino were fine, but you don't need to come here for those. Sunday lunch/brunch for a table of five(5). Was not overly impressed with brunch items (Belgian breakfast, Diablo and Benny). Condiments were missing from our plates that were listed on the menu but didn't show up on our plates, so needed to ask server. Fish n frites/fries had light and crisp batter, but fish was not the freshest. The chicken Schnitzel was the best dish. Service was fairly good. Had no trouble getting table at this time of day.
