Giant Tiger

A well-respected coworker introduced me to G.T. First off, their specials come out on Wednesdays, a day ahead of every other store. No one's specials can beat G.T.'s—absolutely no other store. I'm grateful to find affordable groceries there! I also tend to pick up other odds and ends when I'm there.

A not fancy and not so big varieties store on Halifax. I visited Giant Tiger just once. The prices there are good. Some things have the same price at dollarama. I bought plus size clothes to my mom as it’s hard to find large female clothes sizes where she lives. The main reason for me to visit the store was to try to exchange a product they mistakenly sent me. I ordered a portable heater and I received a wireless lamp phone charger instead where we can find clothes, house goods and grocery. They don’t have the heater but if you visit the website you see that it’s available for pick up at the store. I never order something and received other thing instead. That was a first. At least the costumer representatives I talked to were friendly and polite.

I simply called the Dutch Village location 03/07/2024 @ 8:37AM to ask if they had a certain colour of wall paint in stock. The lady who initially picked up, must have heard me wrong and transferred me to the craft department or something, wrong kind of paint.nSo when the guy picked up the phone to help me, he quickly interrupted me before I got four words out of my mouth and yelled in my ear that he was the wrong department, told me to call again instead of transferring me to the right department, and hung up on me without another word.nI get that retail is busy, people are busy I've been there, for over 7+ years and continuing. But don't work in a customer service job if you have zero customer service skills.

Simple and useful store in the heart of Fairview. My experience with staff is always exceptional. Great deals and quality is reasonable. Hope the store sticks around as the neighborhood undergoes its transformation!

I’ve been shopping here for over a year and not once did someone tell me u have to sign up for the vp to get any of the deals. Everytime I give them my phone number, it’s not attached to an account and no one toldnMe so I’ve not been getting deals at all
