Nice place . Good prices . However, waiting in line at the cashier is awful, due to the fact that one of their cashiers never had a shower in her life or never washes her clothes. The smell burns your nose , and this is the same every time .
Please be sure to check your receipt for pricing mistakes. This store likes to leave expired sale tags on items and then charge you the regular price at the cash. Then tell you the sale is not valid if you point it out. The expiry date on the tags are located on the bottom left hand corner of the tag with font so small you would think it was a bar code. Also, they don't like to honour the scanning code of practice when you call them out on it. I was able to convince them to honour it but I shouldnt have had to argue about it. Bottom line, very sneaky business practice and will be on the look out for this bait and switch tactic from them in the future. Do better Giant Tiger Woodlawn Road, Dartmouth NS. Take you sale tags down when the sale is over and stop deceiving your customers. Makes me wonder how many people have been scammed by this.
Compared with the same quality supermarket, his family is really cheap, eggs and vegetables, often discount. But take a close look at pre-packaged foods. Many contain trans fatty acids. I bought a bottle of salad dressing, and when I opened the cheese slice, I realized I had bought the wrong one.
I find giant tiger is an alternative to sobeys & SS. They don't have as much selection but have some decent prices on a lot of Staples. It's one of many I go to shop for my weekly groceries
Excellent prices. Great location. Large reasonably priced selection of food, clothing, misc., etc. Would definitely recommend
