I have been here several times and have always been able to find what I need. Today, I tried their sushi and it meets all of my expectations of what good sushi should taste like. Simple and yummy. I would recommend avoiding some restaurants' takeout and getting sushi here instead. I also got my New Year's mochi today, all set for 2023. Happy New Year!

Best take away sushi option in Victoria without having to pay "island tax". They get pretty thin on stock around 5 so if you're picking up dinner best to do it early and fridge it till you're ready. Always super fresh and great selection of all the standard popular rolls and bowls on top of a big selection of Japanese grocery items you won't get from takeout at a restaurant. Only reason I didn't go 5 star was the hours are pretty tight to pick up dinner if you don't eat early.

Parking here is scary. As we drove in, a pedestrian was on her phone and walking behind a car and we didn’t see them and they almost walked in front, so be extra cautious parking here!!! The Sushi we purchased felt super fresh and the items and prices are reasonable! Read the labels on the items because one has a warning from the California government for potentially having high lead content.

100% recommend to go! Affordable sushi and friendly staff! Once time, I remember that one of the two boxes of sushi I just bought broke on the ground because I was walking carelessly. The staff saw it and told me I could get a new one. Really kind and lovely sushi groceries store, don't miss it if you pass by!

Is it the best sushi ever? Probably not. But it still tastes good and is relatively inexpensive, so you get decent value for your money. This place is super popular. It's always thronged with people and they would run out of sushi, so come here early!

Great takeout sushi at good prices. You have to get there early as they often run out of the favourites. They also have a good selection of other Japanese grocery items.

This is my go to Japanese grocery store in Victoria. Its aisles are tight, the store is often busy, and the prepared food sells out occasionally. But, it is still worth going down. The staff are helpful, the selection is impressive. The sushi and bento type prepared food items are overall good.

Best sushi and worst customer service in town. I can't blame the workers, but the whole set up is ridiculous I've been going there for years. Fact is they outright refuse to make the sushi you want. There are no other options. You can't offer to pay more, you can't make an order for the future. They rather have a display case full of sushi that people only buy when there are no other options. I wouldn't mind their selling out early every single day if they gave any opportunity to get the sushi you want at least once in a while. I would say 19 out of every 20 visits over the years has been very disappointing.

Awesome assortment of Japanese grocery products, lots of spices, sauces, treats, frozen foods including sashimi grade fish, many Japanese sundry items and of course, fresh sushi prepared as fast as it can be made. Come early before the best stuff is gone!

I mean, this place has it all. The prices have gone up over the years but it’s still good value for how filling the sushi is! Lots of specialty Japanese groceries you won’t find anywhere else in Victoria.
