One of my go-to places for Fish 'n' Chips when visiting White Rock. Friendly and timely service, great food, and very clean! There are some great daily deals too. My favourite is the Halibut and Chips deal.Food: 5/5
Decent food. The best part was the cocktail sauce and sweet chili sauce served with Captains Platter. They have only one beer on draft but it was delicious. Incredibly kind service made this place a five star.
This place was recommended by friends. The first couple of times we ordered take out, the food was good with no complaints, however the meals we had tonight were awful. The batter was doughy and the fish was under cooked. There was a sign indicating that the place was under new management so that could explain it. We will not be ordering again.
Came here to do some repair work and the owner kindly treated us to lunch. The food almost made me wish I paid for it! Far better quality than cockney kings or white spot. Delicious crispy fish, satisfying fries, and a decent slaw. The fish was really the star though, every bite was tender flaky and savoury with that fantastic batter. Would gladly stop by when I'm in the area.
We hadn't been to this Fish n Chip store for a while. We had a dinner there on Tuesday and were pleasantly surprised. Tje store is under new management and what an improvement. The restuaran has been renovated, is bright and clean, the service was great and the food spectacular. We highly recommend you give it a try. You will.not be disappointed.
Had to make a run to Whiterock and took a chance that they were open today for take away! I am happy to say YES! I had the Halibut special with a side of their house made tarter sauce. I missed the Cod special they ran but so wanted to try this place out. The piece of halibut was a nice size and super flaky. The batter was nice and light, not over battered and the chips, I've never met a chip I don't like, LOL. I literally ate them in the truck. Now I want to go back for the cod but I have to bring the family.
Got a takeout and it really is a far cry from the British staple. Fish was quite meaty, but extremely bland. Peas are disappointingly stodgy and chips as if they've been refried multiple times. Just can't recommend it.Food: 1/5
This was my first visit to the restaurant since it was rebranded to include the Veerji menu selection as well as the Fishin' Chips menu. I ordered the 8 oz Cod and Chips. The meal was substantial in size and excellent in quality. The waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning. Parking: There is plenty of street parking and a parking lot behind the restaurant.
We went to the fishing’ chips for our usual fish and chip dinner, and was pleasantly surprised when we found that it changed ownership with beautiful Indian flair and also the fish and chips.massive portions some passed by our table. The Indian food was very authentic with spices used properly that I hadn’t tasted for years. Wonderful chicken biryani with jalapeños.**** Just a warning And a marvellous butter chicken! And a sublime basmati rice. all served in traditional Indian copper ware. A much nicer interior than the old place with updated furniture and floors. You got to try this place you won’t be disappointed! &
The double pieces of cod served with coleslaw and a $6.00 to compliment it was excellent. Food was served promptly and hot.
