It's unfortunate that there's not much choice when it comes to fabric and notions shopping for Edmonton. This store is very unorganized/messy and the staff are not very helpful or proactive. I will say though, that their sale prices can be good if you have a membership.nAnother very surprising thing is that, even though its 2024 and we've been through a pandemic which modernized many businesses, this chain seems to be stuck in the 1980s! They still don't have anything computerized!! They use old fashioned tills for their POS and nothing can be looked up!nFor me, I prefer to go to Marshalls.
I am loving the new changes in the store. It is getting so much brighter. However, I am handicapped & have to use a walker. There is handicap parking available but there is no handicap door to enter or exit this Fabricland location. It would be a great addition to the store. Thank you.
Absolute worst place to go. @fabricland has hired racist employees who assume you are stealing their 2 cent balloons. My 21 month old was crying for a balloon, yes i handed him one without asking to calm him so i could shop fabric for my store only for a lady to call me out infront of other customers and IMPLY im stealing their balloon. Was i walking out the door with it ? NO! I was IN the store SHOPPING STILL. Brought my concern up with the manager. Who apologized with an attitude on her face. Please KEEP YOUR BALLOONS. MAY YA'LL BUILD YOUR HOMES WITH THEM.
I went to the store to make a tie-knot blanket with my boyfriend, we had a cheap budget and we went to the sale section which was $8/m. We thought that was fair and we got our blankets cut. After it was cut the price had been $25/m which was not what the sign had on it. I spent $60 because I had the girl cut it for me and I didn’t want to waste her time and the fabric. When I got home to start the project, the blankets were completely different sizes and were not cut straight. Overall the fabric was good and the people were nice. But the service wasn’t good.
I was quite surprised to see a such a place in Edmonton. I started with searching a sewing machine needle and ended up with tones of fabrics and stitching materials. That’s a place under one roof which can provide all type to stitching stuff..
