Typhoon noodles, Malevolent meatloaf, 10oz steak Chefs cut, Nefarious burger and the Vicious Tunano pic Food was delicious, portions satisfied - we did not leave hungry! We were to full to enjoy a dessert! Nice atmosphere, and Finn our host was friendly and accommodating! Great food with a liquor menu that pairs well with whatever meal you chose. Yum!
Food was decent, although the portions were a small for the price. The main issue came with the server, as he was extremely disrespectful and rude, far beyond what most people would probably even imagine. Issues included: 1 After one of us asked him to take the drink cups away, he told him in a serious and irritated voice: “you could’ve said please, you know”. No, we were not rude when we asked him to do so. I originally thought he was joking, because literally no server has ever said that to me before, but his stern face and lack of any follow up comments made it obvious that he wasn’t kidding. 2 Although most of the food was good, the jasmine rice was undercooked. We told him about it after the meal, and his reaction was “oh, well you SHOULD’VE told me that earlier, when I asked how things were tasting”. He then takes away our dishes, without saying anything else. 3 When we went to pay and oh boy did we pay a lot, he added 20% tips to the bill without telling us. Now I’m not sure if this is the restaurants policy for groups of 5+, but even if it is, he did not notify us at all about that. Tips are how we as customers give back for good/bad service, but he instead he essentially tricked us into giving him a fat check for terrible service. Again, we couldn’t check that he added the 20% because we were paying quite a lot already and it wasn’t obvious. The server wasn’t entirely rude throughout, as he did have basic manners. But every those 3 incidents mean that our experience at this restaurant was an extremely poor one. TL;DR: imagine your experience like this: your sever is fairly kind except he said “fuck you” a few times out of the blue. You’re more bewildered than offended at his actions, simply due to the sheer audacity of his willingness to be rude to customers. Then he tips himself 20%.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Enjoyed our meal. Appetizer: Crazy Gyoza Main: Malevolent Meatloaf My Partner's main: ElDiablo bowl not pictured Dessert: chocolate mousse Dessert: Fried Banana rolls Craft sodas were overpriced, but delicious DJ was nice surprise!
We tried their veg typhoon noodles and they were absolutely fresh and amazing! I loved it so much that had to order another bowl! Very nice vibe of the restaurant and a must try if you are in Jasper!
I am so happy that Evil Dave’s re-opened in their new and beautiful location in Marmot Lodge! We have eaten here a few times now, and always are very happy with the amazing food we get, paired with exceptional service. Highly recommend dining at Evil Dave's when you are in Jasper.
Just had an amazing dinner! Myself, hubby and our 10 year old had just a nice cozy dinner at Evil Dave’s after a long day of touring. Their menu has clever dishes and all are delicious. And wonderful place to relax in Jasper I had the blackened salmon for my dinner and it was gorgeous!
Our group was served by a truly nice hostess, with the food coming out in a timely way. Well prepared good food with funny names - a solid outing in Jasper.
We ate dinner here today. The restaurant is now in it's new location and is very nice inside. We had the prime rib burger with cheese added and fries. It was ok. I kind of expected a bit more for paying $30 for a burger and glass of water. I think the food was rather plain. Our server was very friendly and personable.
Had the chefs cut, which was a 6oz of divine medium rare Alberta beef steak, just melted in my mouth, the best steak ever. Dessert was mouthwatering, had the loose moose. The margarita was delicious A fantastic experience and would recommend to everyone
Great newish little place just on the edge of Jasper. The wine selection is surprisingly ample and well thought out. Some daring choices on this list add to the excitement. Food is certainly eclectic and well placed. Need to come back!
