Came here for lunch after exploring the canyon and what a beautiful place to enjoy the scenery and some good food. Sandwiches and burgers were great, I loved the fries! Our server raved about the mac ‘n cheese so a few of us upgraded to it but personally found that it was just okay.
Wonderful restaurant with a great view. It took a while for our food to arrive, so we had plenty of time to souvenir shop and enjoyed the view. They did have the buffet line for quick eat, but we wanted something more and the dishes we ordered were pleasantly tasty and beautifully plated.
We ate here after hiking in the canyons. The space is very comfortable. We stayed in the patio & enjoyed the view. We ordered burgers for a quick meal - pulled pork burgers, beef brisket & bison burger. Everything was so tasty with the fries, coleslaw & especially the bison burger!
Location is very good, esp after doing the canyon walk. There were no seats outside when we were there but scenery outside appears amazing, food itself was average. The pork belly burger was good, the bison burger also good but quite oily and dry. The accompanying sides were quite small in portion size. The food was also not hot but lukewarm. Slow service also.
Where should I begin? Our server was very sweet. The food was blah. I had the flat bread with mushrooms...the red sauce tasted like plain ketchup and the lettuce could have been fresher. my friend had garlicky fries that weren't garlicky enough and the pulled pork to which she said "I've had way better". Honest review. The umbrellas cannot be adjusted to create shade angles. The drink was very light. The view is lovely and like I said, the server was lovely and so was the presentation.
We ate here on our last night in Jasper and opted to sit outside it was cold but worth it. The view of the canyon from the deck is beautiful. We decided to get the share platter to try a bit of everything and we weren't disappointed. The food was so good. We'll definitely eat here again on our next visit to Jasper.
A very cozy, warm, upscale tourist trap that has lots of souvenirs, has an incredible dining area, a great patio with a nice view of the river. Service could be much better. On the expensive side as expected.
This place is pretty cool with a canyon view from the patio. However, they are slow to sit you down, very slow to take your order, and incredibly slow to serve. Whatever you ask them, they take their own sweet time doing it, even when it is not at all busy. The food is mediocre at best. The pricing is pretty high for what you get, but acceptable considering the area. Unfortunately, this is one of the very few places to grab a bite in the Maligne Lake area outside of Jasper, so you don’t really have a choice.
Wow!! This was one of the most delicious meals we’ve had. Location/food/drinks/service/price all 5/5. If there’s a way to give this place 6/5, I would. We went on a weekday in July and sat on the patio - this is a late review. The outdoor environment is serene as you’re overlooking the Maligne Canyon trails. The indoor seating is cozy, modern and subtle. We tried a large variety of cocktails dishes, everything was well-executed, balanced yet complex. From the cocktail menu, I’d recommend the Rumpert’s Campfire! This whisky based drink is transformed with bitters, roasted marshmallows, and infused in a smoky wood plate. We each had a second round after quickly gulping down the first. Other favorites include the Prickly Bear and Observation Peak. On the food menu, I really enjoyed Bison Tartare, Brisket, and the Bison Striploin. My only regret is only having a day in Jasper, otherwise I’d be back for brunch and dinner a second time! Hopefully we’ll be able to get out there and excited to see what new cocktails and dishes land on their menu.
We had a Wilderness Platter. It’s amazing and had a wonderful dinner in the patio. Staff - Vernon was very nice and helpful. Highly recommended Brisket, Beef Rib and Salmon. Also we grabbed a Bison Burger for lunch when we left Jasper.
