This is hands down the best cabbage roll I have had in my life. I highly recommend multiple visits because the menu is fairly packed with German dishes all worth trying. The dining room is quaint, no music plays, there is an option to have the meal to go. Good coffee selection, Gift shop has a variety of ceramics and kitchen implements. There is a large grocery as well.
I've always loved this place. Today, I took the kids for treats . We looked at all the neat things first, then settled on our own desserts. Everyone was friendly . There is so much to see. My advice is to go first on your own and take your time. Beautiful store. There are so many things to choose from . The kids thoroughly enjoyed their treats.
I love coming to this place, may favorite is sausages, bacon, and lots of desserts!nnI always come here for good quality meat, my go to is brutwurst, local bacon, and Ukrainian sausages. I use Ukrainian sausages for hunters stew, I ask them to cut bacon really thick and I use it for pasta, so good! I also love their donuts with jam and another donuts with lots of cream in it. Love their shortbread cookies, I also really like orange muffin!nnI used to be a big fan of their bread with chocolate in it, I no longer see the item, I believe they discontinued. My family love their pretzels and other buns!nnThey are always super busy, service is slow but it is purely because their hands are always full. Expect to line up and wait to get any items from the show cases/bakery. Restaurant? Expect to wait 5-10min to be seated, another 5-10 to find your server. It is very slow and I am not too sure why they do not allocate more people who works dedicated to the restaurant area but what I can tell is there are just not enough people, each single workers there are working hard. People are really nice and I always have nice interactions with them! Highly recommend!
We were on our way home from the medical appointment and decided to stop in for some authentic German food at Edelweiss Village restaurant. To start with, the internet states the restaurant is open until 6 PM, it isn't, closes at 5 PM. We ordered two meals, chicken and pork schnitzel, potatoes, cabbage, 3 pierogies, some spaetzle, black forest cake slice and a pastry. I cook this food at home all the time, but wasn't in the mood to cook that evening. The schnitzel was mediocre at best, cabbage is cabbage, same with potatoes, pierogies were bland. My wife said the pastry was delicious but my Black Forrest cake, well, the crust was like concrete, actually first time I've had a crust on a Black Forrest cake. Then to top it all off, I just tapped my CC expecting the cost to be +/- $60, WRONG!! $87.48 for a mediocre meal at best. Fair enough, my bad for not checking the price, NEVER AGAIN, that's a galactically ludicrous price!
Absolutely delectable. Perfect place to stop by on a cold day and enjoy some traditional Eastern European food. Perogies and sausages to die for.
