The Peace Bridge is one of Calgary’s most iconic landmarks and absolutely worth a visit. Its unique architectural design—a striking red pedestrian bridge stretching over the Bow River—is both modern and elegant, making it a favorite spot for photos and sightseeing.nnThe bridge is well-maintained, clean, and wide enough to accommodate traffic in both directions without feeling crowded.nnThe views from the bridge are fantastic—you can take in the flowing Bow River beneath you, the city skyline in the background, and surrounding green spaces on either side. The atmosphere is peaceful and scenic.nnA perfect spot for a relaxing stroll, a quick bike ride, or just to pause and enjoy the view. A must-see when in Calgary!
Nice landmark in Calgary downtown.nBridge looks very beautiful in the night as well as day time . Walk across the bridge is very pleasant and kids loved the e-scooter rite across and around the bridge. Lots of places you can see people with kayak and raft. Surrounding area has Bow river with high rise building.nNice place to spend time with friends and family.
The bridge offers a stunning escape into nature’s calm right in the heart of Calgary. Its modern design and elegant structure stand out beautifully, painted in clean, striking colors that complement the surroundings. Everything is exceptionally well-maintained—the bridge is spotless, adding to the overall sense of peace and charm.nnAs you stand above the gently flowing Bow River, the shimmering water reflects the sky, while the city skyline rises gracefully in the distance. On either side, vibrant green spaces stretch out like a living painting, offering tranquility in every direction.nnWhether you're walking or cycling, the path feels like a serene journey. Evenings here are especially magical—the golden light casts a warm glow, the air is crisp and refreshing, and the entire scene feels almost poetic. Watching the water flow gently beneath you brings a quiet joy. It’s the kind of place that soothes your soul and leaves a lasting impression.
Beautiful bridge, it's located perfectly right next to a river and stream. This is absolutely an iconic Calgary symbol and a fun place to stroll with your family and friends. The design is so unique, it's red color and overlapping patterns make it a highlight while driving past it.nnI enjoyed walking through these bridge and taking moments to look out into the horizons toward the stream nextdoor. On the other side of the bridge are large towers which signify the movement from one side of Calgary toward the urban centre.nnThere are several parks beyond the bridge which I had the chance to explore through electric scooters which you can rent out. I highly recommend checking out this bridge
The Peace Bridge becomes absolutely magical during snowy days. The red-and-white structure stands out vividly against the soft, white blanket of snow, creating a postcard-worthy scene. Walking across the bridge while snow gently falls around you is an almost dreamlike experience. Despite the cold weather, the snowy landscape adds a serene and peaceful charm to the surroundings.nnThe Bow River, partially frozen and shimmering under the pale winter light, adds another layer of beauty to the view. The crunch of snow underfoot and the crisp winter air create a unique and refreshing atmosphere. Even in the chill, the bridge retains its warm, welcoming spirit, making it a must-see during Calgary's winter.nnWhether you're a local or a visitor, the Peace Bridge in the snow is a sight to behold. Truly a winter wonderland!
