I didn't expect fine Italian cuisine going to East Side Mario's, but I did expect it to taste comparable to dumping a can of Ragu sauce on some boiled spaghetti noodles... And maybe that's what I should have done. The spaghetti was so bland, you could taste the city water flavour that seeped into the noodles (or bleach? Almost tasted like bleach). The tomato soup had more flavour. 
Also ordered the sausage and pepper penne which used to be a favourite of mine years ago and, well, I've had better sausage crumbled on top of a 1 for 1 pizza.
As for ambiance the lights were blindingly bright (felt like a high school gymnasium) and it was cold (left my jacket on). Overall a good reminder of why I stopped coming here. 
At least the bread was still good and the server was nice - the only things that kept me from giving this a 1 star.

Honestly cannot say enough about this place. To put it this way this is my first review ever on Google. This place is just true quality.

Service was slow and soup was luckwarm. Not the first time we get so-so service at this location. Server seemed new and was polite.
