The Loft Board Game Lounge

Level One in Ottawa is a great place to hang out with friends, especially if you love board games. They have more than 500 games to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. I definitely recommend making a reservation because it gets busy.nThe entry fee is $12, but it drops to $9 if you order food or drinks, which is nice. The black coffee comes with free refills. Honestly, their london fog and chai latte are really good and worth trying.nThe menu is huge. It’s not the absolute best food I’ve ever had, but it’s solid. The chicken strips were surprisingly good, and the fish and chips were also very good, the fish portions were huge!nService is okay. It’s a big place and sometimes there are new staff members, so things can take a little time. But honestly, I don’t expect high-end service in a board game café. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed overall. Definitely a nice spot to spend a few hours with friends or family.

Arrived late into town for work and am so pleased I ventured out to find food, as I discovered this incredible local gem. The staff were very engaging and sincere, obviously proud of the establishment they work at. It’s very clean, well organized games library heard they just cracked 2000 board games - wowzers! And they have game wizards to help you during the day over 3 floors. The taps menu and food menu were impressive, and mostly made for sharing. Great value. Highly recommend if you live in Ottawa or make it to town for a visit. Thanks John, Cayla and Logan for a lovely experience! Wish we had one of these in Vancouver :

Without a doubt, one of the funnest evenings I’ve had in years. Food and drinks were reasonably priced delicious and well versatile for any pallet. Hundreds of different styles of board games and game consoles to choose from. Enjoy laughing stories and games with up to four people. Definitely would recommend they open more locations across Canada.

Pretty decent food quality and quantity! and awesome board gaming vibe. The only flaw? If it’s damn cold out, you’ll feel it whenever the door is open. lol not much u can do about it given the building is ancient. Good time good food good games. We’ll be back… if we can get a reservation

Super cute place with great selection of board games. They have practically everything you could imagine, we were there for over four hours and had a great time.nnI believe Friday and Saturday have a 2-hour seating limit so just be cautious of that when choosing when to visit.nnFood and drinks were good but nothing special.
