A full-service bicycle repair shop on Commercial Drive. Expect staff to be friendly, knowledgable and helpful with new customers.

Story

We fix bikes like -old timers would-, It'll get done right, we'll do it as quick as possible & we'll charge you a fare rate!
That said, we stand behind our work & guarantee every repair. Oh, & we sell some pretty sweet custom builds too! They'll fit you like a glove and built to last!
Brands like SALSA Cycles, SURLY Bikes, SOMA fab and select frame builders like Jeremy SYCIP, Curtis Inglis @ RETROTEC, locally owned SEDGWICK Bicycle Co, Chris King's CIELO, New Hampshires INDEPENDENT FABRICATIONS & Philly's BILENKY Cycleworks. Yep, we know these people & yep we ride & sell their bikes.
Stop in for a visit, ask questions, hang out for the witty shop banter. Sometimes it gets "Real" up in here! Oh & you should call your mom, or dad.

The staff know their stuff, the prices are competitive, and they have a massive selection of bike parts and accessories.

Terrible experience. Most of the staff are quite rude, especially the owner, who treated me like dirt, despite my efforts to be polite. We needed to have a wheel rebuilt while on tour, and ended up being stuck in Vancouver for 3 weeks, waiting while they continually pushed back the expected finish time due to lack of communication. They originally said it would only take up to 5 days. The new rim was posted to a PO box in the USA, and the only person with a key was out of the country, all the while our Visa was running out and we didn't know what was happening. Furthermore, some of their stuff is really overpriced. I asked for a discount on a new tyre to compensate for the misquoted time and inconvenience, and the owner finally offered to take 5% off, in a degrading tone. I declined and bought the tyre a lot cheaper from a different, much friendlier store where they treat you like a customer, not like some idiot they can make money off and look down upon. The new kid seemed nice though.

Great staff -- very knowledgeable and willing to give advice to someone even though I told them up-front I wasn't looking to purchase anything that day. They gave me some tips to shop around for the best value and even offered to evaluate a bike I buy off CL to see if it's legit. Would definitely recommend this shop!

1. Showed up to find the store closed for few days despite not having mentioned anything on the website or on the answering machine 2. They wanted to charge me "consultation fee" so that they could give me a quote for a bike build. Ridiculous.
