Dodd's Furniture & Mattress

The sales experience was great. Jag was great and very helpful... After...Not so much We went to buy new furniture for our elderly parents who are going into a retirement home and needed a sofa-bed. We bought and paid for one (as well as other things) on Nov.25, with the understanding it would be delivered on Dec.1. We were unable to meet the truck at that time. When we went to the home later we were shocked to see that the couch was NOT the one we bought. So, our elderly dad has to sleep on a couch....instead of a real bed that we paid good money for. I called, and spoke with Jag, only to have him tell me there is nothing that can be be done until Tuesday. This is beyond frustrating...and totally unacceptable.

We had a good shopping experience here. Sales personnel did not follow us around like in other stores and once we made our selection, the shipping folks were able to retrieve our item (sectional) and wrap it up for us to take away the same day. Same-day product availability is not possible at many of the other furniture stores. The sectional seems to be well made and we didn't feel pressured to buy the extended warranty. All of the above combined with the sale price we paid makes it a 5- star experience.

I’m going out of my way telling everyone I know not to buy furniture from here. Cheap quality and the customer service is horrendous. Unorganized and the staff just make excuses for how bad they are instead of owning up to it.

We purchased a mattress that felt nothing like the floor model. When we contacted Dodd's with our concerns they said it takes a couple weeks to break in. Well after 1 week the mattress had not softened at all and was hurting our backs so we had to exchange it. They told us the floor models have been very broken in over a long time so this happens sometimes. Not our fault but we still had to pay for the second delivery which we felt was unfair. Also, we purchased a $300 cooling mattress cover we were unsure about due to the high price but our salesman raved about how great it was. It was a total scam though! The cover feels cool for about 10 minutes and then leaves you hotter than ever because it doesn't breath at all. It was like laying on rubber. Unfortunately our salesman never informed us mattress covers are not apart of their "30 day guarantee" so he said no returns or exchanges. We were upset because he knew how unsure we were about buying it but never told us. So we spoke to his department manager he also told us too bad. So then we asked to speak to the store manager who finally said yes but would only allow us to exchange for the 200$ cover when we wanted the basic $100 cover. We didn't want to take another risk with one of their "fancier" covers but that was our only option. We were very unimpressed they agreed to an exchange but not for the item we actually wanted. Who does that!?!? But at this point we were so sick of dealing with this business and desperate to get rid of that horrible cover we agreed. They obviously wanted to squeeze as much money as possible out of us. I would never shop here again.

Friendly & helpful staff that went above & beyond to help me find what I was looking for. The delivery staff was great too!
