Days Inn Poughkeepsie

Stayed for the weekend. Even though our room was right next to check-in/lobby--we didn't hear noise at all. Mu daughter used the indoor pool and enjoyed it. We were inside the building but there are motel like rooms also. Make sure you pick non-smoking.

We had Popeye's chicken and sides last night. Chris loved it. It was extra crispy and he got spicy, I got normal or plain. Mine was very greasy but the flavor was good. I think I like Kentucky Fried better. Sorry Mon cher. Each to their own.

The staff is awesome. The pool is cool. The rooms are always clean. Even the house keeping lady is very respectful

This establishment has given up on the hospitality industry. Right from the front desk, the employees wear stained and torn uniforms. The rooms receive minimal maintenance. Furniture is broken, drawers won't stay closed. In years past, this location offered a choice of room types; King bed or two Queen beds. They have replaced the Queen beds with two Double beds, and it appears that at least some of the beds listed as King are indeed only Queen sized. The included continental breakfast is now barely stocked. I was woken up early by a call from the front desk, asking if the lights were back on in my room. I later discovered that this was due to a complaint from another guest in another room. According to that guest, the front desk clerk, instead of fixing the bathroom lights that were not on, placed a desk lamp in the middle of the bathroom floor for light. This is a location that is not worthy of being included in the Windham family.

It's OK. The rooms are nice and clean, but not very well lighted. The bathroom is very small with almost no counter space to put your stuff. Breakfast was good. Staff is friendly.
