I was looking for a hotel to stay at for my daughter‘s birthday. She really wanted to go somewhere nice that had a pool and a good view. Well, the Sonesta hotel was just that. First when I checked in I met Iris, she was so sweet, caring and generous, not knowing that I was there for my daughter‘s birthday she displayed excellent customer service, providing her with a coloring book and some crayons to make the start of her welcoming and comfortable. My experience throughout the entire stay was excellent; the lobby was beautiful, the rooms were clean and modern not to mention the pool was a wonderful touch. There was a point at the pool room where we ran out of towels and a staff member quickly supplied myself and my family with additional towels, following this housekeeping came to our room to ensure that we were comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a short or long-term stay conveniently placed in the heart of White Plains. You can’t go wrong staying at the Sonesta thank you Sonesta for such a wonderful experience. My daughter loved it and we will see you again.
My husband & I stood at the Sonesta the night of our wedding. The hotel is upkept. The staff is very friendly and our room was clean and looked just like the photos. The hotel is located in a quiet area with lots of shops, restaurants, etc located nearby. Keep in mind you have to pay extra to park in their parking garage that's attached to the hotel. My husband & I really enjoyed their pool. I would definitely stay at the Sonesta again & recommend this hotel to others!
Stayed last weekend for a training. We were working hard so we ate all of our meals at the hotel. Every meal was good but even better was the staff. The people serving were always so friendly and helpful. They knew we were working early and late and always let us take a little snack to hold us over until the next meal. The rooms were clean and modern. Sonesta also matched my Marriott Level which will be a benefit I will use in the future. I didn't have time to venture into the local area but it seemed to be filled with shopping/ restaurants/ bars/ etc. Parking was convenient with the attached garage. Would definitely stay here again if in the White Plains area.
We recently stayed at the Sonesta to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We were very impressed by the expansive executive suite. The room portion was a bit tight but the living area as you can see in the video was expansive. Great for a small gathering or celebration.nnWe only visited one night and were not able to enjoy the amenities. The bar was great. I highly recommend the the Brown Sugar Old fashioned or Yellow Jacket if you prefer something on the sweeter end. Portions at the restaurant were not the most generous, but the stake was very well charred.nnWe didn’t bring our pup, but it seemed very pet friendly.nnWe’d definitely go back to explore more. Great for a staycation or a weekend getaway.
This hotel is not the same as I remembered! Only staying a couple of nights we encountered some unpleasant moments. First, we arrived late after a long flight, completely exhausted, only to find our hotel room in unacceptable condition—there was hair all over the room and bathroom. Unfortunately, we had already unpacked and gotten undressed before noticing, and we were too tired to go through the hassle of changing rooms.nnLater the next evening, after going for a walk to get food, we discovered there was nowhere in the hotel to comfortably eat or relax outside of our room. We tried to sit near the bar area, only to be told we couldn’t eat there—meanwhile, a man nearby was allowed to sit in the same area of the bar/restaurant with his dog in a chair. At this moment, the lack of consistency and hospitality was frustrating.nnThis experience did not reflect what one would expect from a 4-star hotel. Very disappointed, especially given the price we paid.
