Great hotel. Room had a great mini kitchen. But, you can not use air conditioning in April...the sign said. Because the hotel is still at warming mode...the room was 77. Had to open a window thank jebus we were on the 3rd floor for some cool air.
I received an early check-in, which i was great full for. The front clerk on the first day was very helpful and courteous. Her schedule changed twice, so i didn't always get her on the same schedule. I think her name was Vanessa. I was staying for 3 nights 4 day business trip. Walking up to the room, my initial thought was it was a great pick, but as I moved on to the room, the carpet and smell got worse. I then learned this was a pet friendly hotel. Nothing against people who bring their pets, but i would rather stay at places where pets aren't aloud they tend to be cleaner, especially with it being carpeted throughout. Some pet owners are not cleaning and grooming their pets. Most of them i saw needed TLC. I believe you should maintain your pets if you plan to be a pet owner. One dog, which was the size of its owner and was all over a man who didnt seem to care for the dog being on him and the owner was very hestistant to get ahold of him maininly because he was a very big dog. The room appliances are ok. The bathroom needed more attention. This hotel doesn't clean your room every day. it's every two days unless requested, which says a lot about the upkeep. The rooms are minimal and with a weird dirty carpet humid smell. The windows are functional, which I used to get some of the smell out. the shuttle within 6 miles was helpful. The rides and pickup cut off at 4:30 pm. on some days and 5 pm on others. The restaurant food was the worst. The first night bartender/ server provided me with a drink of $12 and oven over cooked parmesean fries for $11 and a chicken sandwich and fries for $15. It contains two tiny grilled oven baked chicken peices with old lettuce and tomatoes between a bun. The stay was manageable due to the business location. If I had a choice, I wouldn't have stayed for my 1st overnight stay visiting New York.
Great location and great staff. When I needed something to my room they were always quick. If they said 30 minutes they were there. I especially want to acknowledge Emilio at the front desk; first rate front desk care. Lastly, Jorge, the hotel's shuttle service driver was always prompt, accommodating, professional and knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend.
My wife and I have stayed here three times. Great location and great amenities whenever we're in town to attend an event at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Quick 7 minute Uber ride to the venue. Staff is amazing. We're in town quite frequently, and this has become our go-to spot. See you soon, Hyatt House!

The credit card-operated machines are efficient and function well.nnHyatt House truly offers a “home away from home” experience.
