I love this place, it’s a great bar to have a drink and unwind. It’s a neighborhood bar next to the L. Cozy bar with a pool table and shuffle board table in back. The art work on the walls is from local artist and is usually for sale. The bartenders are great and so is the service. The bar has been around for a long time but was revamped years back. Go get a beer and a shot and you will fit right in. Enjoy!
Awesome dive bar, and has some light bar snacks like frozen pizza, pretzels, tots. Place has board games, old school video games, pool, and shuffleboard as well.
Such a great comfortable vibe in there. Great selections of beers and excellent pool table.
Best dive bar in the city. Super friendly staff, solid drinks, good prices and those tater tots!
Nice local bar with kitschy decorations every where. Pool table and shuffleboard available. We were there late afternoon. It was quiet with fun bar service. We only stopped for drinks, so I don't even know if they serve food. A fun stop near train station, if you have any extra time before or after riding the train.
What a weird wonderful bar. If you ask "what type of bar is this?" I couldn't tell you. Sometimes, it's an old chicago guys bar. Other times, it's middle aged women having drinks and hanging out. Or it's a spot where the younger crowd pack the place. I've seen it as a quiet spot for a contemplative drink, and filled with a raucous crowd. It's whatever it needs to be at the time. The one constant is a pretty good rotating beer selection as well as the old standbys on tap.
Anyone know if this bar is dog friendly?
My home pool league bar! I love the specials and the people. If you want to play pool, it's usually busy after 7pm on Tuesdays when I have league. But there's shuffleboard and darts too so you're not without entertainment. They also play every major sports match! They are also dog friendly!
Cork lounge is a neighborhood secret and while I want then to stay successful I don't want them to change so if you can't walk home easily after a few pints than is a horrible horrible place. However if you're local it's got a great beer list, good prices, friendly staff, and good musical taste. It's an ideal bar for meeting up with friends or a first tinder date as it's busy enough your safe but not so crowded you can't get to know Mr or Mrs Right. Plus it's by the train for a quick getaway.
Great local bar that you don’t have to be a local to enjoy. They’ve got board games, shuffle board and pool but more importantly, good drinks. What to go for: seasonal tap beers, good can selection, great mixed cocktails/bartenders, big pretzels and frozen pizza. What to skip: wine drinkers should find something else to drink!
