The website was a bit challenging to navigate, but once I booked my appointment everything was seamless. Booked my appointment 1 week in advance, waiting less than 10 minutes after arriving. I had forgotten the photo, but they suggested I visit the Shoppers downstairs and just come back up once it's printed. 20 minutes later I was back in their office finalizing the request (without having to reschedule another appointment, or wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room). Helpful, efficient, and friendly service.

Went to the appointment (appointments to be booked early but not earlier than three months before the travel and it can get fully booked quickly). I had prepared all the documents requested on their website with a copy. The visa officer was very helpful and told me to wait for about two weeks before they can tell me the outcome. They emailed me later asking for a travel insurance and that was it. Visa was issued and I had a lovely travel to Paris.

Fast and pleasant service, short wait times (just under 30min). Very nice people to deal with.

Dealing with the French Consulate in Toronto has been the worst encounter with bureaucracy I have experienced to date. For visa-related matters, there is no phone line, nor is there anyone that can be spoken to in person at the consulate. The only means of contact is by email and responses are made in, at best, three business days with emails being curt, unclear and unhelpful. Appointments may be scheduled (a month in advance), but no consultation appointments are provided. There are inconsistencies in the information on the website as well as translation errors between the French and English versions of application packages. It further seems as though picking up approved documents requires an appointment: documents can only be retrieved during a half an hour window a week and a half after the approval date. Edit: Confirmation of the above: My visa was approved a week and a half before I was permitted to pick it up (which means that the consulate shortened the length of my trip by a week and a half).

My appointment was at 12:25pm, and i arrived there at 12:20pm, i was welcomed to sit inside right after i got the door. The reception lady and the officer were very nice to me. I didn't bring past 3 months bank statements as it is not mentioned in the documents list on the website (which is not good). And the reception lady told me that they can wait for me to come back with bank statements until 1pm. also the reception lady kindly told me the location of the bank. Very good experience.
