On the whole, the price is high, but the dishes and services can't keep up, so I won't come again; 1. Price: The price is high, 40-50$/person, the price is close to the price of Haidilao, but it is too far from Haidilao in all aspects; the price is 22% higher than the menu price published on the Internet; 2. Cuisine: Coconut chicken hotpot itself should belong to Hainan cuisine, which belongs to southern Chinese cuisine; I think the price is too high to buy a chicken for nearly 60$, the same chicken may be bought in the supermarket for 20-30$; the overall weight of the dish It is too small; in addition, the vegetables are suspected of being rotten, which does not match the price as a whole; 3. Location: Very close to Milliken GO, there will be a car to the union station every 60 minutes; there are other restaurants to choose from;
It’s very pricy given the quality and quantity of the food. The chicken doesn’t seem to be fresh. The soup is too sweet and feel like a lot of sugar is added to the soup. Service is not that good, nobody came to us when the chicken was ready and at the end they were over-cooked. There were only roughly 5 tables at that time, so they were certainly not too busy to serve us. Finally we were not allowed to get 5 separate bills or 3 bills 2+2+1, which is ridiculous…
The food is ok, fresh, but doesn’t have much flavor. The service is horrible, the lady sho served us had serious attitude issue for no reason. She put all raw chicken into the pot in front of us, and splash the soup all over the table and onto our bowls and cups. We asked the way to properly eat the dish, as this is our first time, she answered “whatever you want” with an attitude like we asked millions questions already. Never return.
Yes I do agree with all that the soup was a bit sweet. Coconut chicken. I would give it a 3 star for it. Add some salt and there you get 4 stars. Lol. Service seems ok, not as bad as the review had indicated. But it was pretty slow, so maybe he was more free. Maybe someday I’ll go back and try there other items.
First thing out of the way, the menu is fully online now, and the photo of it on Google maps is outdated. We got the coconut chicken hot pot combo for 2 for $90, which includes the soup base, chicken, another meat of your choosingwe chose beef, veggie platter, appetizer, frozen fish balls and meat balls, and no dessert included. The soup was actually pretty good, special in that you can definitely taste the coconut. They even pour out the water of a coconut in front of you just to prove it. The beef slices were good, as did the chicken. The appetizer isn't bad, but nothing to write home about. But the stone of the veggies weren't fresh enough - the Napa cabbage and corn in particular has some black spots on them. Lastly, for the price, I wasn't expecting frozen fish balls and beef balls. The table service was a bit weird. Other than pouring the coconut water, and helping us skim the foam out of the pot once, the waiters didn't really do much in terms of communication. They would turn on the stove, leave, come back to check if it's hot enough, leave if it isn't yet, repeat until it is, then put in the chicken pieces, all the whole not saying anything about what to expect. There was once they came back to ask if we wanted to top off the soup, but by then we were done eating. Overall while I think the beef and chicken are good, and the soup is interesting, it's definitely not worth the $90 asking price. There are so many more options out there for $45 per person, especially for restaurants where you cook your own food. 2 stars for the soup base and the meat, but that's it.
First time having a coconut chicken hot pot. It tasted like nothing I have ever had before. It's a bit too sweet for me tho. If you like eating sweet foods this is the place for you. The soup tasted very sweet, not from sugar, from coconut and water chestnuts. The meats and veggies are healthy and fresh. The only savoury source is the soy sauce for dipping. If you are a savoury-taste-lover, you might not like it. The service is Ok.
I came here for hot pot and while I can say I wasn't too fond of the food flavour, it was a good place. I should have researched the menu a bit better considering I was used to all you can eat hot pot, I would say aside from that I don't like how rigid the menu was and I didn't feel the prices were worth what was given. It was definitely filling for sure. The staff however was very nice and helpful, and explained everything for us, and when to add certain things to the pot.
The coconut chicken was very tender and the broth delicious. It is not an AYCE place, but the the price point is on par with decent AYCE places in the area
taste is good. But the food is less. If you really care about make you full instead of the taste. I don't suggest.
Great concept, love the food, but the staff here do not know what customer service is. Most of the staff walked around mindlessly, without a care in the world, we had to tell them what to do and what cuttery we were missing. Also, the raw chicken is NOT worth 45 bucks... It's just a plain raw chicken...There was dessert included in our meal, but the staff took way too long to give us our dessert 15 mins. The dessert was cold red bean, they didn't need to make it.
