Didn't really see the plus, and VIP is dated. Better to just rent the movie at home. Seats are comfy, but don't recline all the way. Minimum tip to the attendant is 18% and service is not that good, waited about 20 minutes for a coffee
Unlike the negative reviews I read before going, it's actually a really decent movie theater! A bit pricey tho but doesn't hurt to go once in a while. Staff is very nice too.
I wouldn't suggest the VIP experience. In theory it's nice but wasn't worth it to me. It didn't feel very VIP because the seats don't recline fully and legs didn't move at all. The table trays are a stuck mess which caused me to get my finger pinched. The arm rests are off level which makes for an awkward sit. The seats were just...bad. they all looked like they were massacred and need to be redone. IMO the quality of the VIP seating is worse than the normal theatre.nnThe experience with drinks and food was nice. You can relax and get food brought to you. That part was nice. It just didn't make up for the rest.nnIt was fun to experience once but I can see it being pretty underwhelming and disappointing. For the price too, I would have gathered go to the normal theatre or another reclining one that actually reclines more.
I should have written this sooner, but I think my comments are still relevant. On December 12th, 2023, I went to see Napoleon at the VIP. The tickets were not cheap. However, the condition of the seats was appalling! All of the seats in that cinema need to be replaced! That's not what a VIP cinema should look like. The staff was friendly although, some were a little spaced out that day. I love the VIP experience and take advantage of it often in Montreal and Toronto. However, unless I hear that the Lansdowne VIP has had a major overhaul, I will not be returning there.
The VIP experience is ok.. sometimes the side tables don't slide out and they're too tight! Also, even though the leather is worn out... the screen is bad and idk what projectors they're using but it's a hit or a miss across the theatres!nnFood is good and their service is good.
