We have never been to this theatre before. The last time we came was to watch Nuri Bilge Ceylan's movie. The stage and seating arrangements are very comfortable.nTonight we went to the cinema to watch the Oscars ceremony. It was very enjoyable from 7 pm to 10:30 PM. We watched the Oscar ceremony. There were also Trivia questions during commercial breaks. It was very fun. You could also buy popcorn, alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks.
This is an Ottawa Gem! I really enjoy a movie night here. Supporting local helps our community thrive over big chain theatres. The Bytowne’s programming is awesome with films that don’t hit the mainstream. You can’t beat the pricing, especially with the membership. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. Real butter on the popcorn! They also have wine and beer. The seats are always really comfortable.
I love the events they have been hosting and the variety of movies they offer. Such a lovely theatre, I'm beyond grateful it's still here.
The Degrassi Tour was an absolutely fantastic and interactive event not to mention the length. Pat and Stacie as well as Stu were wonderful and lovely during the whole evening. Will definitely return in the future!
I visit the Bytowne quite frequently, and I have to say it is an amazing experience. The theatre has a cozy and intimate atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they go out of their way to make sure you will have a great time. The selection of movies is fantastic - they show classic and independent films that you can't find anywhere else.
